    132 pounds lost! W/picture

Thank you! You can do it! My first major goal was to be under 200 as well and so now my next goal is to hit my final goal weight of 140-145. I haven't been this weight since middle school.

    Neuropathy/ Paresthesia following WLS

I just went for my 9 month check up today and was telling my dr about numbness in my arms during the night sometimes when I'm just laying flat and have not done anything to cut circulation. She ordered a check of my b12 levels and said it can be from that being low. I'm interested to see what others have to say about this as well.
  7. What a great update! Thanks for sharing!
  8. Baby bell light cheese. It is my go to if I need a snack. It is still suitable while on the purée stage because it's a soft cheese. Just be sure to chew it well.

"This was the best thing I ever did"

Hi, I recently had my surgery on May 24th. It has not been that long but I am very happy with the decision I made. I am a litle bit concern because I lost quite a few pounds but seem to be stuck. I was reading on this forum that eating properly and taking the Vitamins and Proteins is very, very important. Did this happen to you at the beginning as well? Please advise. Congratulations by the way!!!!! I am very happy you are almost at your goal weight. Thank you. I personally did not hit a stall till about 7 months out but I was not the norm. Most people hit a stall for a week or more in the fist month or so. Just keep working the program and your body will catch up. A great suggestion that I have done is keep up with a few measurements because often when we don't see the scale move we will still see inches melt away. I measure my waist and calves bi-weekly. Many people also measure upper arms and neck. I also take a monthly progress picture in the same position and standing in front of the same doorway so that I can see the changes in me. There are days where I just don't see any difference in myself and being able to look at the photos helps a lot. I hope you have great success! I am happy to answer anything else that I can.

    Move the freakin chips!

@@JustWatchMe I am normally not a sweets person except for when I make cake. I do specialty cakes like on the tv shows and over the weekend I made my daughters wedding cake. There was a good bit left over and I made sure that it didn't come home with me. My husband was upset that we didn't bring it home and I had to explain to him that it was a trigger food for me. If it's in the house I'll eat a bite here or there every time I go in the kitchen. It's the only thing that does that to me. So I totally get the cake issue.

"This was the best thing I ever did"

I would do it again in an instant. I am almost nine months out and down 126 lbs since surgery. I dealt with different pain issues due to my weight and horrid IBSD and those have resolved. I was fortunate to not have any other weight related issues other then borderline high blood pressure and that's normal now too. I am able to take part in life again and not let it all pass me by. I have been given my life back and now am smaller then I was in middle school. I still have about 50 pounds to go to get to my personal goal but for the first time in my life I feel that it is obtainable.

    Pain

Yep that is where I had the worst pain was lower right side. It was an internal stitch that had to take time to dissolve.

    Low calorie chewing gum?

I chew gum all the time. Just be sure to not swallow it because that can cause a blockage and require emergency surgery.

    Scared

I'm not going to lie to you even with the sleeve there can be skin issues. I was 319 at surgery and am 193 now at 5'5" and I have some saggy skin but it's nothing compared to what I have seen on others. Now I am 37 so you being younger is an advantage to help with the skin but we are all different and you will not know exactly how your skin will do till you do it. I will say though that I wish I had been able to do this years ago. It is the BEST thing I have ever done for myself. I too have three kids and losing this weight makes me feel like I have been given my life back. I am able to physically do so much more and take part in life again instead of watching from the sidelines. You have to choose what's going to be best for your life but I would do it all again in an instant because the benefits well outweigh the fears.

    Out to dinner!

I can find something most anywhere I go but I love the salmon or shrimp at Chop House.

    Before and After Pics

I can see such a difference already! Your doing great. Don't be scared of the full body shots, if you do them you will be so glad later even if you just keep them for yourself to see all the changes you will keep making.

    Swelling from IV?

If it's in one area like that then it may mean the line slipped out of the vein and the fluid is flooding the surrounding tissue. It needs to be redone if your still needing the IV. The swelling will dissipate with time as your body absorbs the fluids.
  19. I'm with you, I plan to get a tattoo when I hit goal. 50 left to lose. [emoji4]
