  1. I have a co-worker who was sleeved about a year before me and she ended up with the low iron issues at about a year out. She had to go once a month for the iron infusions. After six months she was at good levels and back on oral supplements and doing fine since.
  2. For me who I am overall hasn't changed but as I lose weight I have found that I am more confident and carry myself in a less invisible way if that makes sense.
  3. For me I was in a 24/26 for most everything and now am in 16/18s so being able to find things that fit is amazing because I can find something wherever I go now. I even have been getting things from the jrs section at a few places which just amazes me. I have been going to places like burks and Ross stores and pay at the most 10-13$ per item. I am trying to not get too much at once because I know I will not need it for too long as I still have about 75lbs to lose. I have even found a few cute things at Walmart to get me thru for now. As for my too big clothes I have found a plus size consignment store that is selling them for me to give me the money to get new things as I shrink. [emoji6]
  4. I had already met my deductible for the year when I had mine so I only had to pay $195 for the psyc eval and one $40 copay. If I had to pay the deductible it would have been another $1500 I think.

    My story...

Don't regret waiting so long, just look at the positive that you are doing now and think of the added years of quality you will be adding to you life. Good luck!
  6. There's a difference between a craving and actual hunger. Sounds to me more like what they call head hunger at this point because your stomach should still be honestly numb for a while yet from where the nerves were cut in surgery.
  7. Try a yeti cup for water. The thing is amazing, it will keep ice for 12+ hours! I was a skeptic at first but love mine now. Also with the protein drinks, I found if I put it over ice and drink it with a straw it helps.

    Just Wondering....

You sound exactly like me, that is the very reasons I weigh daily and by doing so I stay on track.

    Hair loss

I did start taking a vitamin regimen several months before surgery. I am almost six months out and while I have had some extra shedding it hasn't been severe thank God.
  10. Can you give examples of what your doing now for breakfast so we have something to build on?
  11. That's awesome. I too work in higher Ed and it's been flattering to have students who haven't seen me in a while come into my office and do a double take when they see how much weight I've lost so far and to talk about the dedication and hard work it takes.

    Bariatric Advantage Calcium

I get them off amazon and they have orange, chocolate, Carmel, and strawberry in the 500mg ones. I have tried the chocolate and orange so far and have no problem with them.
  13. I had no preop diet, just liquids the day before only. I have lost 94&1/2 and I am 5&1/2 months out from getting sleeved.

    6mt Post Op

Everyone is going to lose at different rates. The important thing is you are losing and you and your dr are happy with your progress. Good job!

    100lbs before and after

First one is 11 days before surgery and second one is today, down 93 so far since surgery.

    Allergy?

Glad they got you something to help.

    Pop tart ads, really BP?!?

I just saw that add for pop tarts within the app, it looks like it does when someone makes a post in a thread but sure enough it's an add for pop tarts. It says it's a sponsored add. Oh and just FYI I have never done a search on pop tarts, never could stand those things
  18. I did not. I've been very, very lucky, and I exercise quite a lot. Lifting weights has helped me immensely, as well as "good genes" I suppose. You have done an AMAZING job! Congratulations!

    What do you eat?

I am 5&1/2 months out and have lost 93lbs now. I started at 319. I eat less then 30 carbs a day, at least 70 grams of protein, and my calories average around 650 a day. I exercise 5-6 days a week usually around 30-45 minutes at a time. I alternate between a weight set and the treadmill. I have had a few slow times but have still had loss every week on the scale.

    Allergy?

That is odd. Hope it clears up soon for you!

    Allergy?

Did they use medical tape there I wonder during surgery and your having a reaction to the adhesive?

    "Champagne bubbles"

That is a good way to describe it, I call it bubble guts! Lol but yes I'm almost six months out from sleeve surgery and I still get that after some things I eat. Normally it happens in the morning for me.

    Fit to fat to fit

Yeah I felt bad for the client in this one, I think she really got cheated out of what could have been a good experience for her. She did lose some and seemed ok in the end but I think she could have gotten closer to her goals and done more had she gotten the attention and help needed from the trainer.

    Fit to fat to fit

The episode from this week with the blond female trainer was really quite aggravating. She did not seem to gain much compassion at all from the experiment, she just seemed to care and focus more on herself then her client.
