I hope I don't have to wait.....did they submit your papers to your insurance?...,,,My BMI right now is 36 .......2014 it was 35 but in 2013 my BMI was 34. I'm on HBP meds and I have sleep apnea (CPAP machine)......My Patient Advocate said we can also submit my weight from 2012 which was 36.....What insurance do you have?....Are you on HBP meds?

Congrats to you!!!!!!....You had a low BMI correct?...I'm BCBS Fed with a BMI 35 with mild Sleep Apnea (have CPAP machine). Also have had High Blood Pressure for 4 years. I pray I get approved also.

I know exactly how you feel....I'm on a 3 month supervised diet and I'm really stressing because I'm trying not to gain weight. My surgeon doesn't want me to lose either because I'm right at a 35 BMI with High Blood Pressure and Sleep Apnea.....so I'm super stressed....I feel like I want to eat everything that's bad like bad carbs and sugar. I'm hoping for a November or December surgery date. I'm so ready to get on the losers bench!!!!

Aug 24th will be my 2nd of 4 appts for my 3 month supervised diet. Just did my psychology appt this past Friday and it went great....I'm looking at a November or December surgery....Can't wait to get on the losers bench.

Hello all my sistas.... I'm a newbie.... I have bcbs fed and I'm required to complete a 3 month supervised diet... Just completed my initial visit on July 24th so I have 3 more visits to go......Hope to have everything completed around Oct and then submit to insurance.....I'm really excited about my new life..... Right now I weigh 225lb and I'm 5 '6 tall......have HB pressure and I have sleep apnea. I will be so happy when I'm able to toss that CPAP machine off my night stand and get off these BP meds. I'm going to my PCP for my 3 month diet..... Can she talk to me about lab work on my visits? Is only exercise and good eating habits allowed in her notes? How strict was your insurance on the supervised diet?

Hi Lulu5 I'm new to the process also. I just submitted my paperwork for preapproval to my insurance. My BMI is 36 and I have HBP and I was diagnosed with sleep apnea last Sept. I have BCBS Federal Texas and I'm really nervous because my last two years I fell below 36 BMI. I'm hoping to hear from the surgeons office next week.
