  1. I think I'm gonna miss movie theater popcorn ???????????? popcorn is my fav! How can I go to the movies lol.
  2. All I know is that I'm going to be 1 night in the hospital as in like 24 hrs from surgery time. I honestly would prefer to stay 3 days to just be monitored, but I guess it's cheaper this way.
  3. Go to Disney world and be able to ride all the rides, have an higher self esteem, be able to shop in regular stores, go zip lining , go hiking, horse back riding, and kayaking/paddle boarding.
  4. I've finished all my pre op testing, psych evaluation, and on oct 1 will make my 3rd month and last food journal so my dr will schedule my surgery on the first and than submit to my insurance. Someone asked earlier about why oct is backed up. I see dr. Mcdevitt at coastal Carolina bariatrics in summerville, sc ((he's amazing!!)) and he only does surgeries on Tuesdays. ????
  5. I'm 28 hopefully will get my surgery date soon ????
  6. My surgeon is booked up all of October so I'm prob gonna end having mine in November and I don't get my date until October 1 ???? and still gotta wait for ins approval ????
  7. I am going for my last weigh in oct 1 and than they will submit to insurance and schedule my surgery. It's been more than 90 days and everything else has gone smoothly so far. I'm just super nervous. What all did they require from u again??
  8. I'm about a month clean and my Wellbutrin seems to help a lot, but a lot of the time it's also pure will power! I want to smoke so bad it's insane. But all I can think about is my dr will not do my surgery if I test positive for nicotine and he will make me go another 3 months.
  9. I have finished with my nutritionist, pysch eval, barium swallow, ekg, X-rays, and waiting back for the results of my pre op blood work. I go back in on oct 1 for my 3 month supervised diet visit and will find out when my surgery will be. Prob first week in November. He is also going to be submitting to my insurance company the same day so I'm super nervous! I'm going to dr. Mcdevitt in summerville, sc in the charleston area.
  10. I find out my surgery date on October 1. So it looks like either end of October or first week or so of November. 1. I'm scared of dying from leaks that no one catches until too late and I'm already septic. 2. Of stroking out/ blood clots during surgery or in recovery. 3. Me not losing that 125lbs that I need to lose. 4. Sagging and excessive skin. I'm so afraid that when I lose my weight that all I'm gonna look like is a granny. 5. That for some reason my husband loses his job aka insurance before they can submit it. 6. My insurance denying me 7. My copay being more than 3,000$ because I can't afford it. 8. I have lupus and take NSAIDs so worry about that. Only thing that makes me some what ok is that my mom has been a med asst since 1971 and she will be with me at my house while I recover. So she'll know what to look out for in case of leaks and septicemia. And yea like the rest of you, my anxiety is pretty high.
  11. I have major acid reflux, but I also have lupus. So after having a long discussion with my dr medically the sleeve would be a better outcome for me than the bypass.
  12. Hey guys sorry for not posting in awhile. Yes, I'm a pt of dr Mcdevitt and he is amazing!!! ???????? I find out on oct 1 if all my labs come back good when my surgery will be. He said he's a little backed up so I'm looking around end of October, beginning of November. I'm getting the VSG. Just pray for me that my labs are good and insurance doesn't give me any problems!
  13. I'm not even post op this is also my pre op diet and I'm already freaking out ???? thanks for the ideas.

  20. Yea he really needs to quit, but their is not much I can do until he is ready. It's been 5 days since I quit and my biggest issue is after I eat and when I'm driving.
  21. I would tell them I can pay what I can, but can't afford 2200 a month. They will give u a hard time but give in the end. Bc some money for them is better than none.
  22. Oh didn't know we were supposed to give weight. My starting weight is 270 and goal weight at the end of everything is 160. But by Labor Day I would love to be 245.
  23. Yeah my insurance is covering everything thank God! I just got to find a psych who will take my insurance tbh I don't have an extra 400$ to shell out.
