  1. I cramped as well when I drank but it got better after about four days. I just pushed through hoping that the new pouch would adjust. I was told not to get scared or tense up. I hope you get better soon.

    July sleevers?

Good Luck and wish you a speedy recovery
  3. I had surgery on 7/6 as well. I've been drinking protein shakes and crystal light. First few days it hurt trying to get liquids down, now it's much better if I pace myself. I've been running a few errands here and there but haven't been on any long walks yet. Poo is runny. I'm able to sleep on both sides which is great. It still hurts when I sneeze though. I'm down 13lbs so far but I didn't have a pre op diet.

    June 30th Sleevers?

I'm finally now four days post op able to get liquids down better and I'm not as tired as the first couple of days.
  5. Pre-op I enjoyed a drink/glass (or three) in the company of my colleagues so that excuse won't work. I'll go for the health approach. Thanks ????
  6. I was surprised when my dr told me that the actual pouch heals in two days! The outer scars (from incisions) in about two weeks and the abdominal muscles in about six weeks.

    July sleevers?

Yay!!! You had it done! That's awesome. I worry so much about the pain after (I'm a big baby). Speaking of babies - I had a csection before does it feel worse than that (assuming you had one or does anyone know?). Did you have that X-ray thing yet where you have to swallow contrast media to see if there is a leak? Does your surgeon do that? And if so was it nasty/hard to swallow? Congrats for walking so much ! Yay !!!! Keep us posted. We are all nervous. I'm July 29. I have had a caesarean as well and I don't feel much pain from the five incisions. It's the actual stomach pouch that's hurting. It's so swollen inside and it sort of cramps up when I drink. Judging from other sleeves it gets easier on day four or so.

    June 30th Sleevers?

It's very encouraging to read your posts. I had surgery yesterday and have so much pain when I drink. Both the bubble effect and the sharp feeling and cramp sensation. It looks like you guys felt back to normal on the fourth or so day. I can't wait!

    July sleevers?

I had my sleeve done yesterday. I've been very sleepy from the anesthesia and in some pain, but it's manageable. Toughest is drinking. I get a cramping sensation and I can feel the air moving around. I just did three laps in the corridors to get the gas moving.
