  1. At about seven or eight weeks I had a stall. I had lost 40 lbs but would gain a pound then lose a pound and gain two and lose one. I almost started freaking out because the first 40 seemed to just drop off. Just finished 10 weeks post surgery and I am on the downward spiral again. What I did was start journaling my food in My Fitness Pal and that has really helped. Now, I've lost the two or three I gained and I am down two more pounds. From what I gather, most people have a stall or a pound or two gain in the process but if you just keep sticking to the right plan, you will start losing again.
  2. Thank you for your advice. It's very encouraging and I appreciate it!

    Repeatedly overeating

I think the mentality to eat everything is just something we have to relearn. I'm just six weeks after surgery and I have over eaten a couple of times and in fact, last night, some mashed potatoes came right back out after I ate them. One thing that helps is if you're eating, put your fork down between each bite and see how your stomach feels. If you're at a restaurant, ask for a to go box when you order your food and then put half or whatever you think you cannot eat in there before you even start eating your meal. Don't know if this helps but good luck to you.
  4. It's nice to hear that basically you're able to stay close to goal after two years. I'm just almost 6 weeks out and I've lost 27 pounds. I'm just having a little trouble not being hungry. Just seems like I eat and I'm hungry two hours later. Any suggestions?

    Before and After Pics

I'm new to this site so I will post some before and after pics when I can get them. Right now, I just have my before and I had the nurse take a pic when I went for my two week appointment. I see this post is from February so I'm wondering if you've probably already had your surgery now. I had mine on May 5.
