Yes ma'am. .i too jokingly accused my very skilled doc of faking my surgery. I felt great immediately and still do...no trouble with any foods, no constipation, no nausea, no vomiting. I just decided to not look a gift horse in the mouth and go with it!

I'm 2 months post op...40lbs down (175 from sw 215). How will my doc know it's time to pull me off my BP meds? My high BP was weight related and it's the last prescription med I'm on and I am ready to get rid of them!

I have that card..haven't used that...i have better luck with appetizers that kids meals

I haven't had a NY problems yet with tortillas I don't eat them much. However i have found hot that chicken tortillas are pretty awesome and usually lo call Hugh protein. A "fresco" chicken taco even at taco bell is 140 calories and 10g protein. Great lunch in a pinch!

Needed a shopping break so went to my favorite mexican restaurant. Ordered the 3 shredded chicken tacos...then I'd have dinner for a couple days! Saving a ton on food! So I ate my 1 taco, didn't touch the water or chips and asked for a box. My waiter, bless his heart, was so worried. "Did you not like it? Can I bring you something else, do you want some warmer chips? Hotter salsa, cheese dip? Bottled water? He was do distraught. I didn't want to explain myself obviously so I assured him everything was delicious, which it was, and left. Poor guy was absolutely wringing his hands....

Just wanted to share that special moment with my fellow sleevers...

I'm not here for bashing..i have my house in order. It is there problem not mine.i was just saying how nice it was to know I could eat 3 small bites of cake and be done . That's all.

In my house as in other enablers if you don't eat you get guilted. As in "c'mon just one piece I bought this special " Yada Yada yada However family is not good at it so it's not a big deal.

Exactly daveo! I was thinking the same thing...i was so glad I tried it because now I won't be yearning for what I can't have but appreciating what I can and knowing that I'm not missing a thing...I'm impervious now!

Today was my son's birthday and of course the obligatory cake. I said none for me but then, as usual comes the also obligatory guilting. So after finally agreeing to the microscopic piece consisting if three small bites with the frosting scraped off, I ate my cake. I was shocked it was so bitter and nasty tasting. Pretty miraculous considering 2 months ago I consumed most of the cake on the eastern seabord. In fact you know that saying about loving something as much as a "fat kid loves cake"? Yep that was written for me. But anyway my point is it felt good to control my own body and mind and not give in to my addiction. And considering how it tasted going down I think it will be a long time before I take another bite. But more important than as anything I realize that I am not afraid of food any longer. Thanks for listening to a crazy old lady rant

If we can't drink with meals how are we supposed to take pills with food?

Sleeved on the 29th and have lost 15-20lbs...not sure of my starting weight...I think I was around 213 and now 193....

Omg thank you guys! They tell us post op that it is imperative we don't vomit, yet they force those chewables on us!!!!!

I hate the chewables...i want to take a "regular" vitamin

Your 6 weeks out but sounds like your still on full liquids? When I'm 6 weeks I will be on real food. I know all Drs and patients are different but jeez....you should be eating sum thin' by know?????

You are right to be hurt...you've made a big decision and this should be about you....I'm also proud you are not making excuses for these people who haven't at least checked on you.... A different topic but in the same vein....my son who has cerebral palsy turned 12 yesterday...he has 6 siblings and except for his older brother who lives with us, nobody called or sent anything....I am livid...I even had one child who said..wait for it...." I forgot cause it wasn't on Facebook" My point is people should never be excused for being selfish and considerate..furthermore I hope you will question their inconsideration when next you meet.....and thank you for letting me usurp your thread....boy I'm in a mood today!!!! Lol!

Not so much freaky as frightening since my health tanked so rapidly...but we are all on the way back together and that is the important thing!

As I read through the posts I have realized, in more ways than one, I am an anomaly. It appears that the majority of the board have battled obesity their entire lives. I became obese in 2010 at the age of 46. A combination of overeating, menopause, and medications ballooned me from 130 to 218 in 5 years. This also contributed to my comorbidities as I could feel my body collapsing under its own weight. Are there any more of the nouveau fat here and what was your weight loss experience after the sleeve? Are we any different?

Good for you! I love it when people can "let go and let God" and not agonize over every stall and every poop! Congratulations on your realistic expectations.... I think that is as much a part of this whole thing as the loss of lbs....
