This is the final night before the surgery. Ahhhhh so much anxiety. I haven't done anything all day. I really want to have one last meal before the hurrah but I decided not to, I'm committed to this journey and I don't want to self-sabotage any more. I'm ready to be HEALTHY!

I told work I’m going back to Maui lol I just went in May so I’ll know exactly what to tell them when I get back, only I won’t be tan LOL

And girl, you’re not going to die on the operating table!! You’re scared and nervous and that’s soooooo normal. You need to think about how good you’re going to feel, how great you’re going to look and all the new clothes you get to buy [emoji7] you’ll be healthier and happier and that’s what is gonna happen!!!!

This thread is popping all of a sudden lol. Yesterday was my last day at work before the leave. I've been telling everyone I'm going on vacation lol. I know it's weird but I feel like I'm preparing for things to go wrong so I spent all day at work making sure everything was organized for my teammates in case I didn't return. Very Morbid. I just have this big fear of dying on the operating table. My surgery is 2 days away and all I can think about is dying. At least it has replaced my yearning for meat.

First day post op. Not a lot of pain. I woke up with some but the meds worked. Now I’m not using much at all. I walked 3 times today and sat up in a chair for a bit. Napping a lot lol. One day at a time!

Is it sad that this topic is one of my biggest fears of the surgery lol. I have dreads and I love them so much and I'm afraid that they will fall out and I will have to shave my hair off and regrow them. 5 years down the drain. Vanity comes before a fall I guess.

OH this makes me happy to hear Yeah, I make a bad vegetarian, I like meat WAY too much. Great job and congrats.

This liquid diet is just knocking off the pounds. I haven't even been on it a full week and I lost 12 more pounds, I went in today for the blood work and I was in shock. Makes me optimistic about the weight loss post surgery lol. It's been hard though. food has been on my mind ALL day. I just want meat. I don't know how vegetarians do it.

This reminds me of one place I worked, a branch office with the main office in NYC. The landlord of the building sent a bill to the accounting department in NYC for the toilet seat, which the landlord claimed was broken because of the larger women in our office. Several overweight women worked there, but I was the largest. I don't think I broke the toilet seat there ever (the repair guys used to stand on it to repair something above it in the bathroom--a vent, maybe, or the light?) but how do you defend against something like that? Humiliating.
That wasn't my final straw at all, but the humiliation--I feel you pain. Sorry you had that experience.
