    May 26th Sleevers - 2 week check-in!

I had my one month appointment today. I lost 19.6lbs this month! I am happy with that number and how things are going! I am now on to soft foods. I tried chicken salad and made sure I chewed and chewed but it still left me feeling very full for a long time. Felt good to chew food though. Looking forward to new food tomorrow!

    Exercise?!

Too hot in Arizona is right, I love here too! Inside exercise only status point!

    Mood changed

I am so moody!!! ???????????????????????????????????????????????????????? I can't decide which I am most of the time!
  4. Walk, walk, walk!!????????????????????????????????????????????????. Enough said! Lol
  5. I am still in purée stage and I have a few things I like. 1. Rotisserie chicken picked off the bone and purred with broth or an enchilada sauce. 2. Turkey meatballs from trader joes, super tasty- little broth to get the texture right but then a dab of sour cream works well with it. 3. Greek whips with 1/2 scoop unflavored protein powder, and I have been adding mashed raspberries to it, yummy. 4. Grilled chicken burger puréed with broth. Just a few things I like right now and am not sick of them yet at 3 weeks of them.

    May 26th Sleevers - 2 week check-in!

I have my one month spot on Friday which I hope will be the day I start on the soft diet. I am only down 16lbs since surgery which is disappointing because 13 of that was in the first 10 days!!! Hopefully when I go on Friday I will be down 20lbs as I see my scale is moving past the dreaded 3 week stall! Can't believe I am already at 4 weeks, went fast! Exercising is moving a long but still a little tired at times. Puréed food is still working for me and I only get about 2-2.5 oz in, including protein and veggies/fruit.

Started diet today - I'm dying

Omg I thought I was gonna die too or kill someone when I did the two week Pre-op diet. I hated all days of it but you do get into the swing of it! Hang in there we have all done it and lived to talk about it! Plus the goal off surgery follows close behind and makes it a little more bearable!

    Hunger

I am 4 weeks out and I am sure I get hungry, not always but usually an hour or so after I eat. I drink water 30-45 minutes after eating. I am not sure if that's normal for some or not. I don't think it's emotional or habitual either because it's not consistent or on certain days or times. IDK
  9. This was really great to hear. I hope to have this success too! Great work!
  10. I live in Glendale and had my surgery almost 4 weeks ago. I have not had luck finding much for support groups outside of this and the surgery clinics group. Just wondering if anyone else around here would like to be in contact? I had my surgery done on May26th by Dr. Graf with Banner.he did a wonderful job and I am looking forward to all the changes to come. Would love to have someone close by going through the same things to chat with. Let me know!!! Thx all

    Jealous and Frustrated :(

I had to wait for 3 months per my insurance but from my beginning to actual surgery date was 9 months because of other treatments and a visit to the psychologist! That's another story for another time!!! I would say that the time between was well used by me to get used to a new way of life. It has helped me cope better post operatively with the food mourning. I would suggest keep eating healthy and follow your NUT's recommendations I think it has helped me a lot!
  12. I am in the same place you are now too! All I can say is read the article and keep reading the posts, it has helped me immensely on this journey so far!! Keep your chin up and I will too!

    May sleevers

I was also sleeved on the 26th of May! I have hit a stall this last week or two! I am super frustrated!!! My one month spot is coming next Friday and I pray the scale moves for me again! This is super disappointing knowing I am doing all the right things. A finger if peanut butter shouldn't make me stay the same weight should it?
  14. I am just over 3 weeks out and started working out doing 30 minutes cardio 5 days a week! Which is what my NUT recommended. I feel good doing that and am starting to feel like more is just around the corner!

    Back to Work

I went back 9 days after but I have a work partner I can get to do the "hard" stuff when I wasn't up to it. I think it helped me get back to real life and the reality of work and life!

    Help!

I would call my doc about pain at 8/10 and 3 weeks out just to make sure this is normal, just in case it's not. Be on the safe side and check with them.

    Frustrated

I am relieved to see this thread because I too have hit the "stall". I weighed one pound less on my three week post surgery day. It totally bums me out but luckily I am confident and patient! I just pray it doesn't last too long!
  18. I would agree with all! I have been lucky to be going about once every 3 days without MOM but I have it for backup! My doctors office wanted me to have it and take if I don't go in 3 days!

    May sleevers

Hi May sleeves. I had my surgery on May 26th. I have not been on the scale in a week but at my two weeks post op I was down 14.7 lbs. I will weigh again tomorrow. Hopefully it is down a few more. I am getting back to working out today, just cardio. Food is a challenge for me because I don't know what I like puréed. I just tried turkey meatballs from Trader Joes which are pretty good. I like having the whipped Greek yogurt with protein powder still! Good protein source. I have my one month appointment next Friday so I hope to be down at least 20lbs by then! Keep it up everyone, it will happen before you know it!

    Post op vitamins

I started my vitamins when I got home. I take a chewable multivitamin. I also take biotin not cause I have to but because I want to it will hopefully help with hair loss when that happens. I do take a liquid calcium, I could not chew the large calcium from twin labs, it was terrible. You need 6 of them to get your recommended dose. I also have to take two Omeprazole per day and I take 4 dissolveable tablets of VitaminD because mine was low pre-op

    Scheduled June 29

I just had mine done less than 3 weeks ago! You will certainly need the help for about the first two weeks. On my second week post-op I found the pain was worse in my tummy and was not able to roll over in bed without pain. But now 3 weeks out and I am lifting my daughter who is 3 when I need to without strain! I was lucky to not have much for gas pain though. Advice on that is to walk a lot! Good luck.
  22. I have been on the puréed diet since Saturday and have been having issues finding the right thing to eat too! I have had chicken, yogurt, cottage cheese, soup with unflavored protein powder and vegetables puréed with enchilada sauce. It's ok but boring! Good luck finding something!
