ama2414 reacted to buttercup06 in What does it feel like to have the sleeve v. band?
@@hockeyfan7 thank you so much for your post! Yes, I too had the stabbing pain at my port site and I've always thought it was just me! You are the first person to tell me you had it. I feel like I'm about to break out in tears reading this because it's me to a tee. The thought of being able to remain at the dinner table through an entire meal without having to throw up in numerous public bathrooms is worth all of this! Yesterday, I ate broccoli for the first time in about three years and cried because it went down! Thank you again!

ama2414 got a reaction from The Candidate in Surgery timeline!
Hey everyone!
I'm very early in the surgery process- New patient orientation tomorrow!
I was wondering if any of you would mind sharing your timeline up to surgery- Like from the time of your first orientation to the day of surgery- how long in between. I'm curious to see how it works!
Thanks!

ama2414 got a reaction from mrsbdd in New here- looking for advice on lapband revision!
Thank you all for the advice! Sent my consult request in to Mass General & now I'm just waiting to hear back!
Another question for you- how do you get over the feeling of feeling like a failure because your first surgery didn't work or you didn't succeed? In having a hard time coming to terms with feeling okay about it! Thanks again.

I crossfit.. I had to take a 2 week break from heavy exercise, and a 4 week break from lifting heavy.
I had surgery in March, and I exercise heavy, but I haven't really officially went back to crossfit (for other reasons: $$) but I still lift when I can..
