    Milk of magnesia

You're not alone!!! Same thing happened to me. They suggest you take the MOM... However, little miss " let me show you this sh*t" and I took correctol before I went to bed that night, and I FINALLY did... The dr did say afterwards to hydrate the next day, best you could, because any laxative can dehydrate you. ❤️☀️❤️

    Medication Absorption

Check with your bariatric doc first. But ask him/her if you can add a benedryl with it! I'm no doctor by any means... But II've done both according to my Dr's orders. I will throw this in... If you're taking Ambien long term, id switch to Melatonin. It's MUCH BETTER than Ambien, it costs maybe 5$ if you get the walmart kind????????

    Pain

Sea salt (can buy at the dollar store) and warm water in a spray bottle... I do it before my shower and actually let it dry, then take my shower! I was also scared a week after surgery, when the nurse took my staples out and my little fur baby jumped on me! (It blead, so I just knew I was in trouble) so, went to dads to get some peroxide, and he told me what to do... He still doesn't know what kind of surgery I had. But he did say salt water would give you less of a scar... Sounds good and works for me ????????

Doing this by myself - terrified!

I did it alone also. Friend drove me. Step sister picked me up. She had to pick me up at the women's birthing center, so there's no telling what she thought! Be careful if you have little fur-babies who love to cuddle, mine jumped on me the day after I got my staples out! So now, I just keep a pillow on my stomach... And mix sea salt and hot water and spray daily... That normally helps all other wounds... And it is helping mine tremendously. One week post op had staples taken out and was -10 lbs. I'm scared to check the scales... But I will next Tuesday when I'm 3 weeks post op... I love this forum! ????

    Protein?

I was sleeved on 6/22/15. The worst part was the anesthesia. I was so sick, but them giving me a diluated pump for pain, and not giving enough pheneragan, I just wanted to throw up and die. Then the swallowing test on Tuesday was horrible, an I mean plain disgusting. They gave me medicine cups and made me drink an oz. every 15 minutes. Well, I get home and I'm like the H with this, I'm going to sip from a bottle, and I did... And I'm fine. So I know I'm not getting to Protein I need with Water, broth, Jello & Popsicles. What do I do... And when do I start on the diluted shakes? Yours truly, Lost in sleeveland

    Protein?

They told me clear liquids, vitamins, plavix, actagall, and 64oz of water. 1 oz every 15 minutes...I sure don't want a leakage... I'd die if I had to do the anesthesia again. And then on Saturday, dilute A shake in the am and pm. And still get foods and h2o in... I'm used to guzzling that water down. However. I have lost 10lbs since Monday. He said he took a gallon sized jug of my stomach out... It's so hard to get used to. I've never been a big eater... But now I'm force feeding/ drinking. And prior to this, I was insulin resistant... They had to keep checking my blood sugar, because it kept dropping, which automatically made it worth it! But again, going without protein for a week, is that good for me?

    Haven't told anyone...

I'm scheduled for surgery on the 22, and I also haven't told my family... I have said I have to have surgery on my stomach, but that's as far as it goes... I'm 40, been divorced for 18 years, have a 20 yr old and can no longer have kids... I'm the same, so I can relate to not wanting anyone to worry about you...
