So I started my journey on October 30th 2015 at 540 pounds. This is the highest I've ever been. I had to be on oxygen because I was so overweight it was pressing against my lungs.
I had to do 6 months of a supervised diet and lost 60 pounds before my surgery and had my surgery weighing 480 pounds.
I had a horrible time after surgery as some on here may remember. I was in extreme pain for 3 weeks then extreme nausea for 5 months. The nausea was so bad I didn't eat or drink for over a month and had to get a picc line and give myself infusions overnight to get my fluids and nutrients.
They removed my gallbladder in October of this year and I started to feel much better.
I now feel great and am finally starting to be able to enjoy my smaller size! I'm having fun working out at the gym and I'm starting to feel pretty and trying to date.
I now weigh 336 pounds! That's 204 pounds down from my first weigh in and 144 pounds down since my surgery May 29th 2015!
I'm so excited to be going in the right direction! I just turned 30 in November and I can't wait to finally start living my life!
Here are some before and after pictures!

Why be scared? She did a good job losing almost 70 pounds dispite not being completely prepared for the reality of the surgery. She's had a set back. So what? Life is full of them. We have to learn to navigate our new lives around those set backs, and if we can't do it on our own, we get help so we can.
The reality of it is this:
You MUST change your lifestyle or it won't work. Period.
You MUST change your relationship with food or it won't work. Period.
You MUST find the motivation to keep going when life doesn't cooperate, or when we get 'behavior fatigue' or it won't work. Period.
You MUST feel enough self worth to know you DESERVE to be healthy and happy, or it won't work. Period.
The surgery is such a small part of the equation, really.

Sounds to me like your blood sugar level is low and then spiking. My husband (mr. skinny) has hypoglycemia and those are two of his symptoms I watch for so I can know to administer glucose.

Have you tried PB2? I cannot justify the calories of regular Peanut Butter and the PB2 is easy to get used to.
I am not able to do sugar anymore. It gives me a headache and make me feel like I'm going to vomit. Even eating a piece of fruit makes me feel sick.
My sister (3 yrs post sleeve) and a friend (7 years post bypass) are not able to do dairy. For one of them it come right back out the bottom and the other it comes right back out the top.

I LOVE Flintstones Vitamins. I think I might talk to my surgeon and see if he'll approve them for me, because I absolutely loathe the bariatric vitamin I'm currently taking. It's called Bariatric Advantage and it's fruit punch flavored. They're huge, and every time I eat one, I just want to vomit.

I never had to take chewables, thank God. I was allowed to swallow whole pills at 7 days post-op and never had any issues. So I have been on normal pills the whole time. I take:
Vitaleph Bariatric Multivitamin three times per day Omeprazole 20mg two times per day Probiotic once a day 500mg Vitamin C once a day 200iu coq10 once a day 1000mg Omega 3 once a day 500mg Beef Gelatin once a day 1000iu Vitamin D once a day 630mg Calcium + 500iu D3 once a day 500mcg Vitamin B-12 spray once a day My surgeon/nutritionist only require the Multivitamin, calcium+D3, probiotic, and B-12. The omeprazole is for my acid reflux I've had since surgery. The coq10 was recommended by my PCP for my carpel tunnel syndrome. The Omega 3 and Vitamin C I take just for general health. The extra vitamin D I take because I avoid the sun like the plague and have been taking it for years and years. And the Beef Gelatin I started taking post-op because it's supposed to help with skin elasticity.

I take Trader Joe's High Potency chewables. I also take supplemental Iron, B12, folic acid, Calcium, and D3 -- but I took all of those before surgery, too. I like the Trader Joe's because they taste fine (not like fake candy, but pleasant), and are cheaper, lower calorie, and lower carb than most specialty bariatric Vitamins. I took 2 per day for the first 6 months or so after surgery, then switched to 1 per day. My labs have always been great.

I've been taking Vitaleph Bariatric Multivitamins since I started my pre-op diet. I'm now 9 months post-op and all my blood work has been perfect. I also take a bunch of other Vitamins too though....

I am having a hard time finding a great Multi-Vitamin. Most of them are missing several key Vitamins causing the need to buy additional bottles. What has everyone else found?
