  1. I am worried that I will be able to eat whatever I want soon. I am moving from liquids to mush tomorrow (2 weeks post op). In the last two days I have started to feel hungry and I have another 4 weeks before my first fill. I need some tips on keeping to the plan too. I feel your pain :-(

    Port Area Pain!

I am 10 days in and I am also suffering this pain. I am really paranoid that I have done some damage to my port
  3. I got banded on the same day as you and was feeling good by Tuesday too. I suffered horrible trapped wind and I still can't burp 10 days on. I wasn't hungry at all until Thursday, but have now started feeling like I want to eat. I am really missing chewing too, so can't wait to go onto something a bit more solid
  4. Can someone please help (and sorry if this is a regular question). I can't burp and the trapped wind/gas is driving me insane behind my left boob. I am 4 days post-op and unable to wear a bra because of the discomfort. I feel the build up and it gets half way up my chest. Its only occasionally really painful but always uncomfortable. Just as I think there is going to be a final push and I will get some relief, nothing happens. I just can't burp! This may be connected to some other things going on, the first of which is yawning. I am yawning every couple of minutes or so but don't feel tired. Its more like I am stretching inside lol. The second thing is every now and then, with no control, I am taking a really deep (from the centre of my tummy) involuntary breath. Any advice on one, two or all three of these things would be really appreciated. Even if it's just the reassurance that it has happened to you too would be a relief (oh and an idea of how long my body plans on keeping this up) Thanks in advance :-)

    Newly post op blues

ah wish I had read this before I did my own post, this may well explain my problem. I had my band fitted on June 12th and have been really suffering with gas/wind. Spasms is a good description x

    Pre op blues!

Hi CeeTee13 my friend and I are being banded on June 12th in Belgium and started the pre op diet on May 26th (so will be 17 days in total). I think 7lbs sounds about right tbh especially after what some of the other guys have said in their replies. Although any weight loss will be appreciated, I have sort of been looking at it that the pre-op diet is to shrink my liver, cleanse my body and clear out any of the rubbish I've been eating and drinking! I am totally paranoid my love of vodka and wine is going to come back to bite me on the bum and that my liver will look bad when the surgeon opens me up. I have been glugging Water like there is going to be a shortage, in an attempt to rid my body of as many toxins as possible. As you are talking in cups (of veggies) i am guessing you are from th USA? I am from the UK. Good luck with your op, will you post back here so I know how you get on :-)
