  1. My nausea lasted about 6 days. I left the hospital with a Rx for it too. I have to say the nausea has been the worst part of the experience so far. I was sleeved 6-15-15.
  2. I'm 1 mo post-op and I've lost 23 lbs.
  3. I'm 11 days post-op and happy to report things are looking up. I was sleeved 6/15. The nausea lasted 5 days followed by gas and bloating. I'm still suffering from the occasional gas and bloating but I finally got the okay from my surgeon to move to stage 2. As of right now I'm only doing dairy-free protein drinks, thinned mashed potatoes and thinned bean soups. I was curious to know what else everyone is eating/sipping at this stage?
  4. It's interesting how fear plays into it. I made hummus yesterday and that was not a good choice. I was bloated and full of gas. Not fun. Baby steps.
  5. It gets better. I was sleeved 6/15. I stayed in the hospital longer than expected. My blood pressure was very low. I suffered from a horrendous case of nausea that lasted 5 days. The gas and bloating isn't fun either. Get some Gas X strips. Stay strong friend.

    Overnight Bag

I didn't bring much other than the bare essentials like my cell, deodorant, hair brush, toothpaste/brush, extra pair of undies and socks and the clothes I wore to the hospital. Make sure you to take loose fitting clothes.

    Constipation

I've used Mirolax powder if you're still struggling.
  8. Hi all! My surgery date is tomorrow, June 15th. I'm nervous, scared and anxious. Not only am I getting sleeved but I'm also fixing a hernia that has given me issues. Any advice or information about how I will feel that first day?
  9. Thank goodness! Now I'm dealing with gas and bloating. I'm walking 2x a day but it still bothers me. I just bought a box of Gas X strips. I'm hoping they work because it's hard to drink anything without gas and bloating. I'm glad you're doing okay.

    Massive pain !

What product did you take to manage the gas and bloating? I was sleeved 6/15. Hope you're feeling better.
  11. Things are looking up. My experience so far has turned out to be tougher than I expected. I spent 3 days in the hospital (a day & 1/2 longer than I expected). I can finally say I am no longer suffering from a horrendous case of nausea. I'm struggling to get all the required liquids. I'm drinking water, clear protein and eating sf popsicles. Things are looking up. I have my first follow-up app next week.
  12. I'm 3 days post-op and still in the hospital. I have so much nausea even with water. Did anyone go through something similar and how long did it take?
  13. I was sleeved Monday, 6/15. I have pain but it's tolerable compared to the nausea. The nausea is the worst I've ever experienced. Good luck with everything.

    Post-op Nausea

They have tried both drugs but they prefer the zofran. I have to say the nausea is the worst part of this journey so far. It literally takes over everything. I can't stand to even see a food commercial.
  15. I've completed my 1st week of pre-op dieting. I'm down 11 lbs. I have one more week to go. Surgey is scheduled for 6/15. I'm experiencing lot heartburn and chest pressure with everything I eat or drink-even water. Can anyone relate or provide any insight? My pre-op appt with the surgeon is 6/10.
  16. I couldn't sleep either. The fact that I can't have water either is tough. Good luck to you too, mandaroo.
  17. I like My Fitness Pal too. It keeps me in check.
  18. It's looking more like an intolerance to lactose. I've switch to clear protein and I feel better. I do have anxiety so I know that doesn't help.

    In pre op!

Best of luck. My surgery is Monday. We got this!
  20. And of course water
  21. I was instructed to only drink milk protein shakes, clear protein and crystal light. All drinks are very low in sugar or sugar-free. I'm scheduled for surgery on Monday.
