  1. They aren't submitting until July 1st
  2. I have bcbs and my doctor submitted it Tuesday afternoon and I found out I was approved yesterday.. So 2 days for me! I have Blue Shield of California. My dr. Is waiting to submit for approval until July 1, because as of June 30 they are no longer requiring 6 months of medically supervised diet. If they approve in 2 days like yours did then I could squeak into a July surgery date like I want. The dr. Is only requiring me to do a 1 week liquid diet before surgery so am really hoping this goes quick.
  3. My appointment is in 2 hours. I am so excited to finally get this show on the road!
  4. Haha I thought that was what you meant since I am using BMI of Utah, but I too thought the posts were funny.
  5. I haven't had surgery yet, but I am hoping that if I have hair loss it just makes it so my hairdresser no longer needs to thin it for me. My hair is very short and very thick.
  6. Possibly, I will see what they say on Tuesday, but I just can't remember the things on the forms I am supposed to fill out.
  7. Unfortunately other than weighing me my primary care provider never even mentioned my weight to me. Even when I developed high blood pressure.
  8. That was lucky, 10 years ago my husbands kidney cancer was diagnosed when somehow he got giardia. No clue how he got the parasite, but it saved his life.
  9. I have the world's worst memory when it comes to details. I can't remember milestones in my children's early childhood etc... And now I am supposed to detail what diets I have tried, which year, how long, how much did it cost, how much weight did I lose, how much did I regain? Umm I know I have tried a lot. Lean & Free 2000+, Susan Powder, Dr Phil, Biggest Loser, Simple Swaps, low fat, low carb, My Fitness Pal, Medifast, etc.. And I know I am still fat, but that's about it. How do you turn that into the documentation the insurance wants?
  10. I look forward to not having chub rub when wearing a dress or a swimsuit, being able to not get winded when walking very far, hopefully sharing clothes with my daughters, being able to go to Disneyland without being the first one to poop out for the day, being skinnier than all of my obese siblings, not taking blood pressure meds, not being so tired, keeping good control of my MS with lifestyle and diet, and on and on......
  11. I am in Utah, I sent you a message earlier today.
  12. I have my first appointment with Dr Richards on 6/16, she is Dr. Cottons partner. So far the staff I have talked with (Kim) had been very nice. I hope my process goes smooth. I have Blue Shield of CA and I saw that on 6/30 they are removing their requirements for 6 month supervised weight loss so I hope this can go quickly.
  13. I am 5'6" and 252 hopefully getting sleeved soon. I hope my results are as bad A as yours are! Great job!
  14. Honestly with my kids at home for the summer I think I will get more rest at work.
  15. I posted almost the same question yesterday. Good luck
  16. Which procedure are you having? I am assuming sleeve, but just making sure.
  17. Just added my husband to the 1st appt. he might do it too.
  18. That's exactly what I am thinking about my appt next Tuesday, good luck!
  19. My name is my first initial, last name, nickname, and birth year. My name is Kathi.
  20. [quote name="Malaika" OMG -- I hadn't thought about that ... I always tease that I look younger than I am because I'm so fat it pulls all the wrinkles out of my face ... UH OH ... guess I'd better starting working on face exercises... I don't want to look any older than I do and definitely not my age! Me too, I have always joked that my fat was my Botox. Sure hope the wrinkles don't appear when the weight is gone.
  21. I have plenty of paid time off, but I was just gone for 2weeks to go to Bali. I hate taking much time off so soon after that.
  22. I am hoping that mine will not change a whole lot, I had an augmentation 18 years ago when I was 22 and I weighed about 150, at the time I think it made me a full 38C (I was a 38 when I weighed 135 before kids so I guess my rib cage is large). Right now at 256 I am a 40DD. I know my implants won't make me go below a C just hope they don't start sagging or anything.
