Hello Everyone! I am preparing for my surgery, hopefully sometime in August, and I wanted to take a survey of how much time you all took off work? I have a desk job that doesn't require much physical work, do you think 7 work days, 9 total days would be ok? I just started a new job and will be taking it mostly unpaid and can't really afford much more than that... Thank you for your honesty and advice!!

I too have a desk job, that requires no lifting. I was off for 10 days (because that's what I had asked for) and was back on day 11. But I probably could have been back to work on day 8 or 9 without any issues.
