  1. I'm taking 10 days off but may take 4 more to make it two weeks.
  2. Hey! Finally someone with my exact date! We're surgery twins! Lol. Good luck on your journey and hang in there! 10 days to go!
  3. Welcome and congrats @Steph6981! I would say if you really trust you doctor then follow his recommendations however, never feel bad about getting a 2nd opinion if you feel more comfortable with one surgery vs. The other. You do have choices and remember it's your body! Good Luck on your journey!
  4. Hi and Good Luck on your journey! I agree, take a normal lunch. They will probably use it as a learning session if anything.
  5. Thanks Kate! I have been on a roller coaster! I am exicited though and will update everyone.
  6. Thank you for the reply :-) A year is a long time! I just started pursuing this in March so it feels so fast.... I almost can't believe it! I am stopping to get a new journal today.
  7. Okay.... 10 days to go and I feel the pit coming back. I think I will begin my journal today and start writing. Hopefully I will look back and have a good laugh at myself.
  8. Yesss! Gonna be following you before and after I check in :-)
  9. My surgeon provided bariatric advantage as part of my program fee. I don't need them pre... only post for 2 weeks
  10. You look great! Very motivating!! My surgery is June 26. I can't wait to be able to run..
  11. We have simular beginning numbers. This is very encouraging!
  12. I'm June 26 so I will be following you closely!
  13. I think the number had greatly improved recently. Especially since we have move to an accountable healthcare system. Pretty much means we need to prevent diseases instead of treating them with meds. Best way to prevent most common diseases, diabetes, HBP, GERD, sleep apnea, joint pain... etc. is weight loss. It's being proactive instead of reactive.
  14. Good luck! I'm planning on packing the night before to keep my mind busy.
  15. I haven't had surgery yet but I plan on saving plenty and spending those savings on a new wardrobe!
  16. Hi all. I have exactly 14 days until my surgery June 26. I am less nervous now than I was a week ago. I think it's because I'm keeping myself busy with what I need to do before surgery... that has helped tremendously keeping these nerves under control. I also only need to be on liquids the day before which helps too. I do travel for work up to 2 hours one way... does anyone else travel frequently? What did your surgeon say about that?
  17. I have BCBS. After 3 months of documentation and a therapist visit, I was approved in 48hours. So it went super fast for me. Good luck with everything!
  18. You sound so much like my best friend for life! Especially the pain meds joke... lol.. she would totally enjoy them. Me on the other hand, a glass of wine and I'm in heaven... sleeping like a baby :-)
  19. Hang in there! You can do it!
  20. Wow your belly already looks flat :-) thanks for sharing. Don't know if I'll be so brave but maybe.... 15 days to go
