    Are You More Forgetful?

Yes,I lose my train of thought regularly. I attribute it to lack of calories
  3. 6weeks post op checkup and Dr said I should only be eating 2-3 times a day. OK, that's impossible!

I would follow the Nut's advice, that is their area of expertise.

  4. I thought it was just me. I was hovering around 750 and I wasn't losing much. I've increased to 900 and while the weight isn't flying off as I had expected at 600-800 calories, it is coming off and I feel more satisfied.
  5. I'll be honest, I physically felt more like myself after about 3 weeks. Mentally, it took about a week.

    High BMI?

I had and still have a high bmi. I started at 70, now down to 63 in about 2 months (lost 40 pounds) . I consider myself a slow loser considering my high bmi, but I am losing.

    I miss salad!

I just made 6 weeks today and I've been eating raw veggies for 5 days with no issues

    Eating

You aren't alone! I'm 6 weeks post op (today) and I'm hungry all day. I did notice more hunger when taking the Omeprazole, so I stopped for now. Still hungry, but not ravenous. I eat every 2-3 hours, but it's very little. I have 4-5 150-200 calorie mini meals per day. That's the only way I can tame the hunger.
  9. Comparison is the thief of joy. This journey is my own.

    Dizzy/light-headed

Try the Gatorade g2. That has helped me with dizziness.
  11. 2 days without it and my hunger has diminished significantly.
  12. Wow! Thanks! I wonder if I should stop taking it altogether. Interestingly, I don't have any of the associated ailments/illnesses.

    Cheated myself

You did it, admitted it, and now.....get back to what you know! (A little tough love) Actually, I do have more than my allotted carbs occasionally to shock my body. It has helped me along my journey. When you do that, do you increase calories too? I'm stalled and trying to figure out if I need to shake up my diet. I'm 6 weeks out.

    I lost how much?

OMG!!! An elephant penis is 60 pounds?!?!?!?!?
  18. I really try not to compare myself to others, but I'm feeling jealous of the people who drop weight quickly. Especially when they weigh like 100 pounds less than me.

Thanks. I had lost 70 on my own before (and gained 100 back :-( ) and could never lose any more than that, so I'll feel better once I surpass that

  19. My doctor said 6 weeks. You have to be careful not to disrupt your internal stitches.

    Still Hungry

Ditto. I'm interested to hear what your doctor says. They told me it's head hunger, even though I feel and hear my stomach growling.
  21. I'm always hungry!!! Ever since the 4th day!
  22. I'll be 4 weeks post op on Tuesday. I have an appetite and eat pretty much anything with no issue. I portion out/choose my meals to make sure I get all of my calories and Protein. However, since I get full after 3-5 bites, I will sit with the food for an hour until I finish it all. Is this ok or should I not be doing this? Or should I look for more calorie dense foods that I can eat in 5 bites that would give me enough calories? My eyes are bigger than my stomach, literally
  23. If you can prove financial hardship, the hospital should forgive a large portion of the debt. I have a high deductible ppo and I've been able to get the hospital charges waived twice.
