    Scared of the pain!!

They should give you pain meds via an IV... Don't be a martyr, get topped up every four hours. It will help you sleep too, in between the sipping and walking. The pain is minimal. Focus on the benefits you will have in the future. Good luck for tomorrow and speedy recovery? Kate
  3. Spinich and watercress is better than lettuce. Nutrition should come before fancing a salad in my humble opinion. At 18 months I am having salads, however after getting my Protein in, I can only manage a few mouthfulls. Maybe the day will come when I can have just a mini salad as a snack, with some nuts.

    Do you use this?

I usually order from the starter menu. No one bats an eyelid. On the rare occassion I have had to order from the mains, I usually take whats left home and will have it the next day for lunch. If we are going to a new place, I tend to check the menu before going. The card is a good idea though

    Any regrets?

Do you feel you didn't research it enough before deciding on the surgery?

    Any regrets?

Never ever regretted it. Not for one second.

    Feeling discouraged

This is my advice: Get your Protein in Get your fluids in Take all your Vitamins You know what you are doing wrong. Only you can change it. Best of luck.
  12. Ah yes, the wonderful 'cutting my own toenails' feeling. I remember it well. I loved the first time i flew and didnt need a seat belt extender. No going through the stick thin beautifully presented air hostess shouting, "seat ** needs an extender". The seat of shame!! Congratulations to both of you!!

    Stalling....[emoji20]

It might be that you are not eating enough. How many calories a day/protein/carbs a day, do you get? Kate
  14. Please can you put your surgery date on your profile once you have had it so we can tell if someone is pre or post op. <gets off soapbox> Thanks !
  15. Can you explain why you can't keep up with the water and protein?
  16. _Kate_

    Please

Yes but on your profile shown here it says Pre-op. It needs to be added to your main profile stats
  17. _Kate_

    Pasta

At week 3 my NUT said to try pasta. That was the last time I spoke to her.

    Pasta

Just saw you had posted elsewhere and that you are post op. What did your surgeon/NUT say about bread and pasta? Kate

    Pasta

Ask for a plan from your team. They should give you the lowdown on what you are to eat and when. Do you have a date for surgery yet or are you just looking into it? Kate

    Did you have a tt?

I had a TT (plus other suff) 5 weeks ago. I had quite a bit of excess skin but with spanx/clothes on it was hard to tell. I still wanted it and even though I am still swollen, I am really happy with the results. Kate
  22. Horrible feeling isn't it. Try eating until you are satisfied rather than 'full'. Stick to weighing your food and increasing slowly. Don't eat for longer than 20 minutes. Congratulations on the surgery and weight loss !! Kate
  23. If you have been sticking to the plan, it won't be 3llbs of fat, there could be a miriad of reasons. Don't worry, put the scales away and weigh yourself in a week. Keep to what you are doing and keep drinking enough fluids. Kate

    What's ifs!

I would be honest and let your team know. Best of luck for tomrrow! Kate
