No advice here and I got the sleeve, but bless your heart. I hope things get better.

You are gorgeous! I started at 294 and I am at 139 now. Started at size 28 pants now size 6 or 8. I haven't taken any pics since I have been at goal. I think I am one of those strange ones. I just still don't have the confidence I thought I would have.

If this wasn't so pathetic it would be hilarious

I met my hubby on eHarmony in 2011. We were not within a 100 miles though. I lived in Atlanta, GA and he lived in Huntsville, AL. It's 4 hour drive. Anyway, we were matched on 9.22.11 and were married on 9.22.12. It's not the most convenient when they live far away, but it was worth it for me. I only ever got scum from POF, Match, and okcupid. I even tried Christian singles.com and didn't get anyone good. -
sounds yummy!

Do You Log Your Food?
AnA92212 replied to Alex Brecher's topic in General Weight Loss Surgery Discussions
I am nine months out from surgery and below goal weight. I started out logging using My Fitness Pal. My husband uses Lose it!. I personally think My Fitness Pal is better. I actually had to stop logging a couple months ago. I was not eating enough when I logged so my weight loss SLOWED down. My surgeon told me to eat 1200 to 1400 calories a day. I was only eating about 650 to 700. The high numbers scared me and I didn't want to eat that much. I had to stop because it was a mind struggle. I still portion out my food about a half cup of solids at a time or a cup of Soup. Most days I am getting somewhere between 800 and 1200 calories. I definitely read labels though. It does not go into my cart if it is bad. -
How freaking cold it was in there. Then, oh wow...I need to burp!

I am FINALLY in the normal range for my height, but just barely. It goes from 118 to 145 for me. (I am 5'4"). Anyway, I personally think the BMI chart is outdated. I think you should have the scan done that measures fat and muscle. My husband is going through the same issues. He is 188 but BMI chart says 175 is what he should weigh to be considered normal. He is freaking skin and bone now! I can literally count his ribs! If you feel good, then you are good!

I wear a shapewear tank everyday. I have since about 2 weeks out from surgery. I buy the madenform extra long tanks. No rolling up! They are about $20 on amazon. I started out wearing a XXL now I am in a S.

I have PCOS too. Had my baby 6 weeks before I was sleeved. I went on Ortho Tri Clyclen. I hadn't been on birth control since I was 23. (Now 38). I was scared of the mirena. I want another baby and had heard too many horror stories. I also wanted something to balance out my hormones. The reason it took me so long to get pregnant was due to way too much estrogen. I also wanted a cycle every month to help reduce my risk of cancer. I will be on birth control until the end of the year when it is safe to start trying. I've been on it for about 7 months now and so complaints. I love being regular and I already have to take pills every day (vitamins) so it is easy to remember.

I had huge thighs before. I have some hanging skin at the top. My arms are worse though...total bat wings.

Yay! Being out of the plus size was monumental for me! That is so awesome! I seriously have to buy clothes every month. I may not have lost a lot of weight but I am losing inches. I am now in a loose size 8. I could wear a 6 but they would be a little tight. Waiting a week or two to get those pants. Woo hoo for shopping!!

Just Curious
AnA92212 replied to jessicasantana28's topic in General Weight Loss Surgery Discussions
I met my surgeon when I went to an informational seminar. I met him in his office 2 weeks later for my first appointment. I got my height/weight measured. We talked about the different types of surgery, my weight history, medical issues, etc. We then set up a timeline for surgery. I was pregnant at the time so there was not too much else that we could discuss. He recommended the sleeve and said I needed to lose 5 pounds before I actually had surgery. I then went to see a nutritionist and was on a plan until I had my baby. My surgeon also required a 5 hour nutrition class so I did that. 3 weeks after my baby was born I went in for my weigh in and submitted my paperwork for insurance. Had the surgery 3 weeks later. -
Cellulite at Goal - Did It Go Away?
AnA92212 replied to careya123's topic in General Weight Loss Surgery Discussions
At goal and I still have some cellulite on my legs. I run 3 mornings a week, walk 3 mornings a week, zumba one night a week, and body pump 2 nights a week. In body pump we do about 1000 to 1200 reps in an hour. Lots of those are squats and lunges and I still have some. It is better, but it does not go away like magic. -
They both look great. The sparkly one might be a little dressier (not sure) but the what and white one makes you waist look extremely tiny. I would go with the blank and white.

What a jerk. It's a stall...not a stop. Good grief!

I absolutely regret having this surgery
AnA92212 replied to kaydeemacc's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
definitely call your surgeon. At 3 weeks out I will still doing very soft solids and could only eat like a bite or two. Also, I took an anti nausea pill almost every day until 2 or 3 months out. It got so much better. Good luck! -
The truth is, I failed
AnA92212 replied to AmyFromCincy's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I was sleeved on April 27, 2015. First, Celebrate what you have accomplished. Next, you need to hit the re-set button. You haven't lost out yet. I don't do many Protein shakes myself. I use the powders sometimes in sugar free pudding or Greek yogurt though. My husband really likes the Premier Protein pre mixed shakes and that is what I drink when I do. I would see your nutritionist and come up with some foods that don't make you feel bad. I eat a very wide variety of foods. I've learned to embrace Beans as well. I NEVER ate them before surgery. Also, you need to exercise. It will help. I've been working out since 2 weeks after surgery. I now run 3 mornings a week, I walk 3 mornings a week, I do Zumba one night a week, and body pump 2 nights a week. Some people will say, "I don't have that much time." Well, I work full time, am in school to get my MBA, married, and have a 10 month old daughter. You don't have to do anything major...just get moving. I have had many stalls along this morning. My starting weight was 290-294. My surgery date weight was 260. Now I am 143. It's not easy, but it is so worth it!! Don't give up!! -
Confused over Post-op Vitamin regimen
AnA92212 replied to ironpoorer's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I do a multivitamin, a calcium, and sub lingual b12. I also have to now do an Iron. My 6 month mal-absorption testing showed that I was low on iron (I always have been though). Some people require more or less depending on their sitution. -
New here :) January sleever :)

Congrats! The liquid diet was awful for me. This forum is great! -
83 pounds since October is awesome. I am just over 8 months out and I work out 6 days a week. My body needs more calories now. String cheese and lunch meat aren't bad options. It is sometimes hard to distinguish between head hunger and real hunger. Just keep listening to your body. If you hit a stall or gain talk to your NUT.

It's getting way too real now!
AnA92212 replied to Tweety40's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Try not to worry. Being anxious, nervous, etc is normal. The closer it got the more nervous I was. You will be fine! -
The thing is that you realized you slipped up. You can't feel guilty for what has already happened. Just move on and do better!

Rude people! Unfortunately, there is nothing that can be done for stupidity. You are awesome and are taking control of your health. Just because people are smaller does not mean they are healthy. Keep going. I always say that looking good is the best revenge!

It's been said...you have to let your stomach heal. Protein shakes aren't the best, but keep trying different ones and flavors. You have come so far, don't hurt your success so early on. Stalls are part of the process but you have to work through them. You can add some exercise at this point. Head hunger is real but don't let it get you. You need more protein. 20g is NOT enough. Praying for your success! When I get down I look at how far I have come. I started at 294. I was 260 on surgery day. I am exactly 8 months out and I am down to 146. That's 148 pounds. That's an entire person. Look at your before pics. I went to my hometown for the first time in 2 years and people literally did not recognize me. It was awesome!
