You guys what happened to sunshine ?
-
Curious to know , are your doctor's US or Mexico ?
-
By the way as mentioned aboved, I was wearing the underwear they gave me which are pretty darn comfortable :-)
-
David sent me an email that had a link to patient history form but it's not working, any one know where else I can find it ?
I did email him about it but it's late and wanted to do it now while I have time.
-
@@sunshine72 , everyone in these groups are pretty supportive and seem to look out for eachother, so please take heed and do the research and please come back and let us know you're safe :-)

If you google photos of "lap chole" you will see what I mean...this is the near exact place your sleeve scars will be with the exception of one extra larger one where they pull the stomach out.
-
I was thinking of the same thing !! When I had my gall removed by lap , he allowed me my under wear but not my bra because on of the incisions is right in the lower bra line.
Sorry meant "one of the"

The link to check if a surgeon is bariatric certified is all in spanish.....I want to see a certificate for bariatric ' s on all the surgeons that are affiliates of bariatric pal, is that possible ?

I don't have any money to share but I shared it on my face book page.

The risk of heart attack is highest upon given anesthesia as it can raise the blood pressure significantly. Again, it depends on the health of the person before surgery. Many obese people are literally dangling off of a cliff health-wise and may simply not realize such.
However, knowing that one simply can not hold natural deaths like a heart attack against a doctor this news would not cause me to change my mind. What would change my mind is the experience level. I want a doctor who has performed thousands of gastric sleeve surgeries, not someone who is just starting out.
Not to be rude but curious where you got your information about anesthesia raising the blood pressure?
I have been an LPN for 11 years and now a RN,BSN....as far as I know anesthesia drops the blood pressure and sometimes too low. I could be wrong but that is why I'm asking.
Even though I have been a nurse for many years , this is all new teratory for me and I am terribly nervous.

Wow this is very sad :-(.......
There is a few post on here from a while back ....maybe 5/6 months ago about a few doctors that are doing bad business, it's things like this that make me want to reconsider.
-
Lololololololoookokol I'm sooooo confused.
-
This is where the education and seminars come in, I understood very clearly it is permanent, you MUST build muscle and exercise, hence "protein first" to help maintain muscle mass , and 4-6 Oz is not forever ......eventually you will be able to eat slightly more BUT if 3 years later 4-6 Oz is all you can fit at a time ?? That sounds great! It's kinda the point....smaller portions more often......your surgeon did a great job. And if you gained weight you went back to old habits and your sleeve can't be that small after all.
-
They wave it at that BMI because you are considered to be an immediate risk. You have to think about the situation you're putting your self in and how serious your co morbidities are if you gain more weight.
-
That sounds so great!! I have a consult in 3 weeks so I'm hoping mines goes quick too.
-
OK not sure why Hooka was blocked out but otherwise known as a vapor pen.
-
I forgot to mention, I have not smoked actual cigarettes in a while, I actually use a hookah pen and just add juice that has nicotine in it, but I have a consult in 3 weeks so I will definitely bring it up then.
-
That is great to hear, and thank you for the responses.
-
I want your doc, short and simple no run arounds? No hassle? I need that in my life. :-)
-
My lord !, second hand smoke really ? That's horrible, especially if your not even a smoker, what if it's the spouse ? Can't kick your spouse out if they don't stop smoking.
And a lot of these sound like doctors are going over board and probably never been smokers. I say this because when I was 21 , I had to have my gallbladder removed and I was a heavy smoker then....I was out the bed and moving around the next day, never had any complications nor was smoking ever mentioned. My PCP now was a smoker and has been smoke free for 5 years, but he said it took him years to quit and his approach with me is totally different than with docs who have never smoked....if I'm making sense, sorry it's very early.
-
Yes I can agree :-)
-
OK thanks guys, I just needed to hear it from some one else, I will ask the doc about these things when I finally make a date but when your just starting so many things go through your head. I know it's bad and am going to quit with gum and patch because my weight will no longer be as difficult to manage while trying to quit.
-
I want to quit completely, the gum and the patch help curb the craving but the actual not smoking starts me to gain weight, if your a smoker you know exactly what I mean.
I just don't want to set myself thinking I'm doing the right thing with cessation aids and then some one is like oh here's a cup so we can test your nicotine.
Thank you guys for answering by the way :-)
