  1. LJM...you look great. It is just amazing what a TT will do. You don't look swollen...but only you can tell. Don't get freaked but just think you deserve a compliment....you really have a nice shaped hinder. Hot momma!
  2. Just what you said, Shortgal. I worked at a few banks and that was one of the first things that happened. Account closed....money not there when the spouse came in a few days later. I think the bank employees figured out the divorce thing b/4 the spouse even knew it. Gotta look out for yourself.
  3. Welcome Chell. Good luck with your pre-op process and surgery. I am yet to be banded also. Starting my 4th mo. of my 6 mo. medically supervised diet. It really hasn't been too bad. Think I've only been discouraged once; came here and talked and got all kinds of encouragement. I think I was down for about 20 minutes. The girls here lifted me up. Take care and hope to see you post in the future.
  4. I wasn't weighed either. I have 6 mo. of monthly visits with my surgeon and he weighs me.
  5. Thanks for the detailed post, Heather. I'm also waiting for my band. It's just good to hear the every day normal stuff.
  6. Good luck tomorrow, Sadie! Take care of yourself
  7. Karey...you will be in my prayers tonight and tomorrow. Will be praying for a good night sleep tonight, successful surgery, recovery and the results you are looking for. Take care and try to veg out today. Everyone has been so thoughtful and brave to share their b/4 and after pics. It certainly helps the rest of us that are considering having a TT, etc.
  8. I don't think I can call it an addiction quite yet but an obsession. I am obsession with getting rid of my a$$ that looks like it has hail damage!!!
  9. Your wife is a lucky 52 year old HOTTY. Hope she appreciates you!!!
  10. Thanks for the additional info....those mini pads are quite versatile, aren't they? My son was in Iraq for a year. His job was gunner, sitting (duck) on top of the Humvee. He used mini pads inside his helmet to soak up the sweat in the extreme heat. I never thought to use them in my bra...will give it a try.
  11. LJM...take care in the coming weeks....nice to hear you are up and about. Accept the help that is offered once you get home. I am so excited for you and look forward to the updates on your continued progress.
  12. Thanks, Citygirl, I'm going to check into that and order me up some b/4 my surgery.
  13. Hey Sunshine, Ever frequent the Salty Dog while living in Homer? We love that little town. Going to do our summer retirement in Homer. Do you ever miss it?
  14. I'm truly in a puddle after reading your post. A heart felt thank you is all I can say. It's printed and in my bedside drawer to be read many times more. Do you have your publisher lined up yet? How about a book? Happy Bandiversary. I hope you CELEBRATE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Karen from MN
  15. Been thinking of LJM all day. Happy to hear she is doing well. I am sure there will be some tough days ahead. I am amazed by all the support she has gotten from her friends here. She has quite a following!
  16. Fairy....you just kill me with some of your comments. You are sooooo cool!
  17. Diesel talked about having a lot of muscle and a "little fluff". Sorry, I have a feeling that this story is "a lot of fluff".
  18. LJM...you inspire me! God Bless
  19. Alright Janet!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! What an accomplishment. Wishing you luck meeting the rest of your goals.
  20. Thanks you for sharing your experience. We that have yet to have the surgery will know the symptoms if this should happen. I wish you a quick recovery and so sorry you had these complications. Take care of yourself and good luck with your weight loss adventure.
  21. Mandy...support is such a big plus. Happy you got your group together. I have gone to a post-op group even though I have yet to be banded. I had so many questions and they were so supportive and willing to give me info. I plan on continuing post-op. I love your enthusiasm about your group!
  22. Nice bod, Amy....makes my fear of PS wane a bit. You look stunning!
  23. Welcome. Good to see you have not given up on your band. You've come to the right place if you are looking for support!
  24. Hey Ready...said a prayer to the guy above for you and will keep you in my prayers tomorrow also. I know you are nervous but try to focus on what this will do for you. I, too, look forward to walking in a store and pulling something off the rack without even trying it on! You should just be so proud of yourself for doing what you are doing. Good luck
  25. Kathy JB...welcome and good luck with all of your tests. I am sure you will fit right in with us "fifties". There is a site for "sixties" also.
