hello All. I was banded 6-26-08 I was wondering if anyone out there could give me some advise or suggestions.My problem is my band seems to like to get stuck alot! some weeks everything is good and sometimes i can barely get water down! i am doing everything my doctor tells me, this morning i couldnt even keep my protein shake down, and then there are days where everything is just fine i am very confused as to why sometimes its good and sometimes its soooooo bad! I do not eat or drink things that i am not suppose to, I have had a total of 4 fills i think i am at 6 cc's but not sure what size my band is all i know is i am tired of not knowing when i will be able to eat or not, or if i will even be able to drink sometimes . PLEASE HELP! thank you

Hey head Hunter, its an allergen band and it has 6 cc's at least thats what im told . No he doesnt know i havent told him i have just been assuming that i am doing something wrong

You are sooo on point! I wish to God someone would have told me that i would be crying for no reason for days! i even begged my mom to take me to the hospital to have it removed LOL! Im glad i decided not to do that LOL -

Amen! I have done great with my food choices,BUT i have not excerised at all this past year.I got my band 6-26-08 and have lost 50 pounds now but i know it could have been so much more if i would have worked out,Sooooo starting now I will be in the gym!!!!! congrats to all! -

well I will be totally honest and say i barely exercise.I work 2 jobs and I dont try to find the time, BUT all that is changing come this week-end, I will no longer be at my 2nd job, so my evenings will be free for exercise! i cant wait i have lost quite a bit,but i know i could have lost much more if i worked out -
I think thats my problem also.if im to hungry my first bite is always to big and not chewed enough,then BAM im stuck LOL i so have to pay more attention to that especially now with losing my insurance i cant afford for anything to happen to this band i hope to be able to keep it forever !

Ive only had 3 fills in almost one year time,right now i think my restriction is pretty good, one problem i have more often than I'd like is PBing or sliming whatever you call it LOL not sure if its from not chewing well enough or taking to big of a bite , i am trying to do better with that LOL

Thank you sooo much! i was so stressing about what i was going to do without my insurance, any pointers you could give me as far as weight loss, i know 55 isnt bad but its not great! either lol how often do you get fils?

hey I see we are in the same area, i was wondering if you know where i could get a lap band adjustment, was going through Cedar Sinai,but my job is cutting our insurance,so from now on i will be self pay, just wondering if you might know where i can go? thanks for your time,and you look amazing ! i hope i can get there one day I have only lost 50 pounds in almost a year,but its my fault because i barely exercise (im about to change that) anyways thanks for any info you can give me

wow you lost alot! mine is much more slow only about 45 so far and June will be one year for me, are you exercising? i work 2 jobs nowdays so i dont have time to go to the gym,im wondering if thats why its so hard to come off ,oh well its better than nothing,just wish it was coming off a little faster, im fairly tight,not extremely, i can not touch bread,pasta,or rice,sometimes even protein like chicken gets stuck, i actually get stuck alot! i try to take small bites and chew well but i dont think im gettin the hang of it LOL, Im sooo happy for all the weight you have lost! go you!! lol what do you eat in a typical day?

If you get your lapband at Cedar Sinai....best be prepared to fight the system!

I had my surgery wit hDr.khalili June of 2008, i never have any problems with the care people,or billing,guess i am lucky everything has been great for me at Cedars -
All i do nowdays is burp, ever since i was banded lol

im not very familiar with the type of surgery your having,but for me i was told to buy liquid calcium,liquid multi vitamins, liquid tylenol,and protein shakes, i found my protein powder at costco, its EAS brand i have vanilla flavor, i like that one the best, i mix the powder with non fat milk, its not bad, they also had me on liquid only for 3 weeks, not sure how long you will be on liquids,make sure to ask your doctor all those questions even though im sure they will tell you everything you need to know -
