  1. Right - I didn't mean to infer that you couldn't lose weight pre-op - in fact you will be required to do so. I just meant you shouldn't lose weight before your first visit with the MD where your BMI will be determined. Sorry for the confusion.
  2. I don't have any experience with your ins co, but at an informational meeting I went to prior to committing to this, I was advised NOT to try to lose ANY weight prior to my first weigh in with the MD. HTH

  4. I have a question about this: is this a 1 pound weight gain over-all; or any 1# weight gain at any time during the trial? In other words, say I started at 100# and ended up at 99#, but during 1 month I went up to 101# - would this be a disqualifier? Or is the net loss at 99# the magic number? Hope I have made myself clear.... I finished the three month supervised diet, unfortunately I gained one pound. Would this little gain get me denied ?

  11. Oh - I would love it if I developed a taste for fish post op. I've tried to eat fish for years but can't get past the smell! It's on my list to try when the time is right.
