    Hair loss

Did you use heat products? I wash once every 3 days so that helps reduce loss but I'm concerned about styling.

    Hair loss

I'm 4.5 months out and experiencing quite a bit of hair loss right now. Im really afraid of doing my hair on a daily basis for fear of balding badly (dramatic?) any tips on how to deal?

    Hiccups!

I think that's definitely my biggest eat issue, eating too quickly. Need to slow down and feel out what's going on. But this saliva thing is annoying. Do you have that issue? For sleeve patient it's often called slimeing or slimeies it happens when eating to fast or eating something too dry or dense. It's the stomach trying to figure out a coating to help digest the food. Well I guess we've solved the mystery... I'm eating way too quickly. Need to slow down! Thanks for the answer!

Any one around 26 years old? ?

Im 24 and had surgery 11/17!
  8. What is up with the hiccups I get on a daily basis?! It's so annoying and after awhile makes me nauseous. Any tips on how to prevent them?! Also, I get a weird thick saliva sometimes too.... Anyone else?
  9. When my surgeon first submitted to my insurance they denied because they didn't get "sufficient information" so my office sent an appeal and resubmitted all of my paperwork. It could take up to 60 days to approve. If they decide to wait the full 60 days I'll either get my surgery the week of Christmas or wait until the new year and pay my $1700 deductible all over again. That's stressful and not to mention my whole life is scheduled around my current November 12th surgery date All this unnecessary anxiety when all my insurance needs to say is yes or no. I feel like it was such an easy approval ride for everyone else going through surgery. Feeling down, thanks for letting me vent.

    November Sleevers

I'm doing a "friendsgiving" on October 24th. It'll be like my last hurrah before my huge lifestyle change.
  11. My regular doctor wouldn't approve me in a million years so my surgeon recommended a doctor that did!

    Things I'll Need?

Good point with the IV!! I hadn't even thought about that being an issues... I think I'll pass on having a robe at the hospital. Thank you! Did they wake you up to walk? What time of day was your surgery?
  14. I'm starting to prep for my surgery in November and I'm not sure what I'll need to be comfortable in and after I leave the hospital. I'm going to buy easy slip on shoes and a light robe (if you can suggest any lightweight plus size robes, I would appreciate it!!) I'm also wondering about gas X... Where does the gas that was inflated into my stomach go if I take gas X to stop tooting it out?
