When you go shopping, I recommend restraint till you understand how your taste buds may change. I tried to be prepared,too. My taste buds changed so drastically, I didn't like most of what I bought (and normally liked.) Loved cherry flavor before...hated it after surgery. Loved chocolate flavor before...hated it after. Loved lemon flavored before surgery...hated it after. I had to send friends out shopping for vanilla everything.....pretty much. I would recommend buying enough for a cpl days and if your taste buds stay the same, send someone shopping at that point. That way if they change and you hate what you've stocked, you're not out that much $$. I still have pudding in my fridge, Soups in my pantry, and my surgery was in April. I won't touch it still. Next food drive out they go! So much for being prepared,lol. ????, I wasn't prepared for my taste buds to change so drastically. I still get dry heaves at the thought of having to eat those flavors. Just a thought I felt I should pass on. ???? Hope it helps. great info thanks for sharing!

how is everyone doing? Just thought I would check in! I cannot believe that my surgery date is coming up so fast! getting super excited!

I got my surgery date! *squeeeeeeeeeeeeee* September 3rd!!!! So excited!

So close and yet it seems so far! My pre-op appointment is tomorrow! Wow that came up so fast!! No surgery date yet but now they will be able to submit for approval!!! I am so excited!

I understand your hesitation. I really recommend watching a lot of youtube videos and reading thru this forum. It really helped me a lot to see and hear what others have experienced.

Pastano it does take a bit to get used to the navigation, if someone responds to a comment they will usually "Quote" it, so you will see the original comment and then their reply below it, I hope that helps you. steph99, plevine0359,& lorralei Welcome! We also have a fb group if you want to be included either post or send me your email. Although we have both going at the same time we all still post in here as well. I highly recommend taking the time to go back thru this thread (all 40+ pages) and reading what is already posted, it will give you a good idea of where we are all at.

I also work a desk job so I think 11 days will be ok, If not I will have to suck it up! LOL I just can't believe that we are half way thru July!!! That school goes back in just a few weeks too! Time seems to be flying on one hand and going in slowwwwwwwwwww motion on the other!
