girli565 got a reaction from bandedandbashful in First fill post op
Thanks for understanding! I just hate that I spent this money and as of right now I feel like I regret doing so because it really hasn't changed anything yet. I'm not swollen anymore so I'm starving and without a fill for another 2 weeks in worried I'll just stay the same or worse... Gain weight. I def can't eat as much as before but I feel like I'm starving a lot.

1-2lbs a week is normal. I know. I read all the stuff my doc sent and I went to all the meetings but tell that to my head who's screaming, " you just spent $9k on this surgery and you've barely lost 10lbs!" Lol.

I am now a week post op. According to my doctors diet plan I am eating very small, 1-2 oz portions, of soft Proteins. I've been doing ground turkey and ground chicken. Soft cheeses. Creamed Soups (homemade with either 1 or 2% milk). eggs. In very small portions. I find that if I eat more than 2-3oz I get a full pain in the middle of my back.
I have my first post op appt tomorrow with my surgeon. I weighed myself this morning and I'm down 9lbs. Crazy for just one week. I'm hoping to find out when I'll get my first fill.

I was banded on Monday 6/15 and still can't sleep on my stomach. I just started sleeping on my left side so hopefully stomach sleeping is next.

My doctor actually gave me ibuprofen for pain. I never needed anything more. I was never told not to take it.

I got my band last Thursday and thought I would rebound as quickly as I did after having my gall bladder removed. Boy, was I wrong. I went back to work Tuesday. Also worked yesterday that involved ten hours of driving. I was sure to get out of the car and walk every hour. Unfortunately, I pushed to hard and am back home today with a belly blown up like a beach ball. I plan to fully recover before I try that again.
I'm still glad I had it done...I just want this recovery mess over with. We will all get there.

I was banded Monday! Welcome! I was in a lot more pain than I expected too. No one prepared me for that. I thought that since I'd had laparoscopic surgery before I'd be fine but nope, it was a lot worse than expected. It's better today now that I'm 2 days out from surgery but I'm still uncomfortable.
