I only took a week off of work so I drove after 7 days. I work about 1/2 hour from my home so it wasn't too bad and all freeway.

I had the sleeve and didn't require a drain. I was told that i t would be best to lose 10 lbs before surgery so I did go one a diet two weeks before. Not a liquid diet just a no bad food thing. I don't remember how long the operation was but it was over fairly fast. I just stayed overnight and I went home around noon the next day. No complications. I walked around several times that night and the next day. The pressure from the gas wasn't bad for me but I could hear the woman that had it the same day, crying and being very loud from the pain. I don't think she got up and walked around. I had taken a week off of work but I should have taken two. I was very tired for about two weeks.

yeah I believe that it was sent right after the consultation, I was told that if anything happens I would know before the surgery date. No problem with the questions, that's what this is all for. :-)

I was insurance and so is she, HPN. Approval was fast, the longest was the three month diet. They are pretty good with the timeline. My insurance sent the approval right away.

Either way they are a great team! @@blessed 0329 That's great you have your consult coming up. For me my surgery was scheduled about a month out from my consult. My friends wife just had her consult and is scheduled for January. I'm guessing maybe the holidays there is either a lot more patients or they take time off for the holidays.

@@pr_pitbullgrl I had my surgery with Atkinson! lol dang another Vegas peep. You know of any groups/facebook groups that are local? I can't ever make it to the support group because of work.

I'm only good at posting twisted posts on facebook, believe me nobody would want me to start one. lol just tried searching MeetUp as well for anything local but nothing.

@@Ginnysboy I'm in the same boat as you, once I get to goal I'm gonna need plastics as well. Hope others who have had it can chime in and give some more needed information.

really depends on how far out you are, you might not tolerate much. Something soft might work for you.

I work in summerlin does that count? lol

I tried a protein powder made from plants and it was just like a juice. Blah I can't do it. Lol

Take them back and get something that you like. Lots of protein but nasty lol

No the shift I work doesn't sync up with anyone. But now that it's cooler I'm just going to start walking.

My personal goal is 250 because I don't remember the last time I weighed that much. I need to exercise, I haven't started yet and I know it will help. I just can't get myself motivated. 30 more isn't too much, I'm sure you can do it!

I'm doing good, down 129 so far. Just trying to maintain the water and protein needed but doing good. How about yourself?

It was provided with Dr. Atkinson. They call me each month. I guess it's part of the support system they offer.

How did you over come your regret? Im experiencing it and im depressed and have anxiety and i dont see any relief in sight I keep looking at the progress and the things I can do now. Being able to walk without my back killing me is a big plus. Being able to fit in cars without an seat belt extension is another plus. Try to look at the little things you notice. I still at times have feelings of regret but I keep pushing through them. I know it is hard to see what a difference this surgery makes for some of us but you will see results. Hang in there!
