  1. @@Brenda Sherwood does Dr. Teng have a website?
  2. I have been on a couple dates and have let them know I had surgery prior to actually meeting. This way when we meet up for dinner they already knew why I barely touched my food. Being a big guy still it's kinda obvious that something is up when I can't eat much. They have been cool with it and I really don't hide the fact I had surgery. I did it to improve my health and if anyone objects to it then it's their problem. I have been on a couple dates and have let them know I had surgery prior to actually meeting. 3. @@*Samantha* awesome thanks!
  4. do you have to create an account first?
  5. Congrats on the weight loss, I do find that I snack more when I'm not preoccupied with other things. If I am on the go most of the day I forget to eat but if I'm just sitting and watching TV I find that I will snack more. For me it just depends on the day. 6. @@tiffanymarie6997 Tacos are the most delicious food! Hang in there, you can do it! then when all this is over, you can have one taco. that's about what I can have now. lol
  7. @@farooforever I have yet to find a group I can attend since they are usually on Tuesdays through Dr. Atkinson's office. There is this place that has a support group, you may want to try. https://blossombariatricsportal.pattrax.com/Seminar
  8. Oh I really don't care about winning or losing a challenge, I know it is all in fun and motivation for everyone to get moving. I said I'd lose because I'm currently working extra hours and not getting my walking/steps in like I should. Next week after I'm done with this extra work I'm down for participating!
  9. I watched last nights episode and I really thought Dr. Now was going to admit him right as he got to the hospital being that big. I was very surprised by his ability to still be somewhat mobile. But he and his mother did have to learn themselves on how to lose the weight. It took a long time but I'm glad he finally was able to see what he was doing to himself and lose the weight needed for surgery. I can't wait to see the follow up show to see where all these people are now.
  10. My sister just gave me her Fitbit Charge HR but it's purple. lol I haven't worn it yet and still use my old fitbit. but I'm in no way up for a challenge. I'd lose. lol
  11. wow reading this thread I almost forgot what it was about. lol Anyway, @@BSanchez2016 it's more about availability I believe. Since losing over 100lbs I have noticed more of my manhood is available and as @@Dub also stated, seems like any thing brings it to attention. lol
  12. I used to love to drink, I mean love it! Now I can't really drink a beer because of the carbonation. I love mixed drinks but I have to cut the juice down or find sugar free alternatives. Other than that I still drink on occasions but it's not a regular thing for me anymore since it hits me harder and I'm usually the one that drives. Do what you feel is best for you, if you want to drink then find what works. Enjoy!
  13. for me it was certain meats, I can't eat pork and many lunch meats as well as anything in a tubing such as hot dogs. I can eat chicken and beef if it isn't dry. Tuna as well is okay but yeah some meats are bothersome.
  14. I'm doing pretty good, I started at 467 at surgery and currently at 316 13 months out. Things are a lot easier now from just being able to walk longer distances to bending over and not killing myself. I'd say that keeping up on your water is something you really want to keep an eye on. I was getting sick and feeling nauseated all the time and then figured it was because of water. Once I kept up on my water those symptoms went away. Oh and also for the constipation thing. lol lots of water needed! other than those issues I had a good recovery. I have learned what foods I can eat now without an issue.
  15. @@hammybowl I'm in Vegas and had my surgery with Dr. Atkinson as well back in Feb of 2015. I'm here if you need to talk or anything. I welcome any new Vegas peeps!

I would love to go to Vegas!!! wait I work in Vegas...hahahaha hope you had a fun trip! What happens in Vegas stays in Vegas except STD's so yeah be safe. lol
  17. I would love more cats but sadly only can have two. As far as that dude goes, he is going to be missing out! Wait until he sees you at your goal and let him come crawling back.
  18. great job, you look good!
  19. That's awesome!
  20. @@tugs I wonder that myself! That is just a crazy amount of food they eat, it must cost a fortune.

oh you know it's a lot of money, especially with the product placement within the show. I love how they are advertising for just about everything. This last season had sleep Number beds and they were saying how much it helps them with losing weight because they can get a good nights rest.

@@Babbs about time you chimed in! lol yeah I hate when doctors say that crap. I watched the first two seasons and then this last one. Yeah it's great they lose weight but it's a game show and they push you to the extreme. There is no way anyone has the time to do that on their own without the controlled environment.
  23. Daveo replied to Daveo's topic in Rants & Raves
lots of horror stories with that show, I really watched it to see what the temptations were going to be.
  24. I want to watch that show now!
