  1. I've not had such feelings but from what I gather, your feelings are far from abnormal... Unfortunately, I've no words or wisdom to impart on you apart from the following... No matter how you may feel, you are never, NEVER alone in this... There is always support here... Admittedly, it may not be the complete package (like when it comes to just needing a hug and other things I don't understand coz I'm a man and stuff), but it will almost certainly get you thru any tough times you may be having... The chances are that somewhere in here will be people who are having/feeling/thinking exactly the same as you... Hopefully such people will respond to you call for assistance and advice... Take care @@Zoes.Realm I look forward to reading your updates and successes in the future...
  2. Up until recently, I'd not owned a jumper/sweater/jacket... I'd never had the need for one as I'd never felt cold... Now, at 230 pounds down and coming into winter, I've got myself three!!! We're all now covered with so much less 'insulation'... I think it's something we're gonna have to get used to...
  3. @@proudgrammy That's gold!!
  4. If you have to utilize knowledge that has come about from the failure of others then so be it... Use it however you need to... That puts you ahead of either of them already...
  5. Just keep coming back in here @@carolina07 There's support and such everywhere here... All you gotta do is ask...
  6. 13 months put and I still don't get hungry... But ya gotta eat... If you don't you die and stuff... And apparently, that sux...
  7. Also... Congratulations to all of you who are newly sleeved... You've so much to look forward to!!!
  8. It's likely 'head hunger'... Your head telling your stomach that you're hungry rather than your stomach running the show... If you're medically allowed, try chewing some ice... It makes your head think that you've eaten because you're chewing... Or, again, if you're medically allowed, chew a piece of gum for a few minutes and drink some Water... The water fills you up and the chewing tricks the brain... PLEASE - Only do these things if your medical team approves!!!!
  9. @@Athenyx Ooohhhhh.. I do like it when you talk like that...
  10. Speak to a nutritionist... "Less than 600 cal" is likely not enough if you're "working out".. You may actually be starving yourself...
  11. Outstanding!! Well done to you... It's always a bit of a 'thrill' when people notice... Especially when you're only 10 days out!! Imagine what it'll be like in six months!!!!
  12. So, come on @@Athenyx What's happening? Did you survive the night? Are you covered in welts and stuff? And most importantly, have you managed to control your hair?? And just you know... It's 0704 Sunday morning and I'm sitting here with my triple espresso.... Mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm....
  13. Hell yes!!! I was 45 when I had my sleeve done in Feb last year... It was my first surgery and I was SH*TTING myself!! Looking back, it was justified... For no reason other than 'stuff happens'... It's true... Bad shit can happen... It's rare... But it happens... HOWEVER... 13 months on and I'd do it over and over again if necessary... It is BY FAR the best thing I've done... Absolutely worth the risk... Don't let the fear stop you...
  14. @@FinallyFree! I'm truly sorry for your loss... Please take care of you... Jason
  15. Make another appointment straight away... At two weeks out your gonna need all the help you can get with supplementing the small amount of food your able to consume...
  16. Blah blah blah... See you soon!!! Sweet dre... Oh... Never mind.. Nite...
  17. There'll be no dreams for you tonight... There'll be laying there twitching and scratching... So, off you go now.. You go and 'sleep' And if, some time in the next six hours or so, you find yourself unable to nod off and looking for a little moral support, you come and find me... I'll be sitting here sipping coffee, smiling and not scratching!!!
  18. Really @@Athenyx You think a bug or two ground up in my coffee (which still tastes like coffee) is worse than laying there in a swarm of bugs so angry and hungry that they're biting you enough to make your hair frizz?? I think you've chosen the wrong person to go up against here... But hey... If you want a shot at the title then you go right ahead... It's not yet 6pm here and I can do this for HOURS!!!
  19. Yeah, I do jest... But that's because it's not me... Oh wait... Noooooooooo... Not the hair!!! Don't mess up the hair!!! Hahahahaha,,, But I digress... coffee is good... There... Back on track...
  20. It's only 5 20pm here so I should be ok... You're not gonna sleep anyway... Not with the bedbugs and all...
  21. I had no tube or the like so I've got no info there.. As far as 'info or tips' the entire site is full of them... So my only tips are as follows... - Don't be afraid to ask questions - in the forums or via PM. - Remember that most of the info you get here is anecdotal and generally what has worked for that particular person - It may not work the same for you. For YOU specific information, talk to your medical team. - Protein, Water, protein, water, protein, water... Good luck to you... Stay positive and stay posting!!
  22. I think I'm going to get a coffee now...
