Yes, I meant 'not'... And I've amended my post to reflect such... Apologies... And as far as me being "not so bad after all"... Correct!!

Too late... I think I know the word to which you refer... If that's the one, I can assure you that it should NOT cause any offense or angst... One of the opinions given in the conversation is not necessarily the view I'd be taking, but that aside, there's certainly nothing there that should cause anyone to be troubled...

I've no idea what word you're referring to so I'm gonna go back and have a look...

I can only speak for myself but yes, yes they (I) do!! Sometimes I even reply... I know it's naughty... But I'm quite the rebel on occasion... Plus, I have the advantage of chicks digging me... So I tend to get away with stuff.. Kinda...

I have a side-by-side headshot somewhere on my profile that probably rates a mention.. It's a six month 'so far' kinda thing but the changes are quite dramatic...

    Giving up

My take on this is as follows... Losing weight doesn't change who you are.. It only changes what you look like.. Take me for example... 8 months ago, I was a fat, self centred, sarcastic, opinionated 45 yr old guy... Sure, I had my bad points too, but those are for another post... Now, 8 months (and 150-ish pounds.. GO ME!!) later, I'm still EXACTLY the same person... I just weigh less.. I'm still seld-centred... Still sarcastic... Still opinionated... Just lighter.. I'm guessing that I'm no more 'attractive' now than I was then.. Perhaps less 'unattractive'... But ultimately, I'm still the same obnoxious ass that I was .. Being fat/overweight/obese is a physicality... As I've posted elsewhere, it's what you are, not who you are... My opinion is that who you are has much more bearing on your relative 'attractiveness', as opposed to what you are.. But then again I could be wrong... It's happened before.. All the best to you mate... Kinda... ***Please note that the above post is not pointed at anyone in particular. It is merely the ramblings of a man who knows stuff. It should be read with a grain of salt... If that's possible.. But anyway, you know what I mean...***

    Greek yogurt:( yuck !

Try it with some honey... Yes, honey is high in sugar, but it's the protein that you're looking at... Honey definitely takes the edge off the tangy yogurt...

    Returning to work

Hi @@megieg I have an office job as well... I was sleeved on the Wednesday, released from hospital on Saturday and had the entire following week off... I had no pain and no problems and feel I could have returned to work on the Monday rather than taking the extra week... Of course, this isn't for everyone, but assuming things go as smoothly for you as they did for me, I'd say an early return to work is possible.. Your best bet is to talk to your surgeon... And remember, this is some pretty serious surgery, no matter how pain free and relatively easy the recovery is (for lucky ones like me)... Good luck with it all.. Kinda..
  12. How long post surgery are you? What are you eating? Liquids/soft foods tend to sit much more comfortably in the sleeve than the firmer foods later down the track. I didn't experience any pain at all, nor any sense of restriction until I started on the firmer foods. Once I was on those, it quickly became apparent that my ability to eat large amounts had become greatly reduced. Of course, this is simply my experience... Others will have a different reply.. Ultimately, if you;re concerned, talk to your surgeon/support people... They generally know their stuff.. Kinda...

  18. No words of wisdom nor any advice... Just best wishes and congratulations... But if you've any questions, this really is the place to ask them...
  19. The "best" protein powder is whichever powder you'll happily drink for the next however long... Yes, there are some that have more protein/less carbs etc than others but ultimately it'll be about your ability and willingness to consume the stuff two or three times a day. My personal favourites are as follows... Syntrax Nectar - Fuzzy Navel Syntrax Matrix - Bananas & Cream Syntrax Matrix - Strawberry Cream
  20. I had the same thoughts.. This was my first surgery and it freaked me the &%#* out... But even pre-op, the possible benefits far outweighed the risk.. Good luck to you @@HealthyRN

    Ewww

@@LMolina1987 I wasn't required to take such pills after my surgery. I gave myself daily injections for anti-clotting and took a liquid Vitamin. That was all... I understood you were after less "Ewwwy" suggestions for ways to take your crushed pills... Crushing said pills and mixing them with honey is simply one such suggestion...
  22. KindaFamiliar

    Ewww

Can you mix the crushed pill with a little honey? I know it's pretty sugary but it's better than not getting the pills into you...

    Pre-Op Diet Slip Up

Now is the important time... This is the part where you make your decision... It's one way or the other... Knuckle down and get your shit together... Or don't... I'd say you'll get your shit together... Especially if you read the success stories that are floating around in this forum... Good luck to you @ Let me know how you're getting along...
