verdalilly got a reaction from lexiemustang in What was your past slob memory
I was living in north Carolina. It was midnight and I wanted chocolate. I didn't keep it in the house and I didn't have a car and the nearest store was 4 miles away. Safe, right? WRONG!!!! I walked 4 miles to the store the whole time thinking by the time I got there I wouldn't want it anymore. Oh no not the case at all. I got there and bought 3 king size candy bars. You know cus I couldn't decide which one sounded best. I ate all 3 on the way home so that there was no evidence of having them at all...... Ashamed and embarrassed!!!!

I had them both done st the same time and everything went great. Surgery was 4/28/15. A week later I was begging my doc to let me go back to work. I had no pain and was bored to death. Lol. Good luck I hope everything goes well for you.

verdalilly got a reaction from ANewBeginning15 in New to this site. Sleeve on 3/20/15. Hit a STALL!
I hit a stall after 10 days. It tool 3 weeks before the scale moved. I was so stressed out I thought the surgery didn't work. Finally I have lost 7 pounds this week. Stop weighing do a few days ( easier said than done) and relax it will happen. It happens at the right pace for you. Don't compare yourself to others (also easier said than done). But everyone loses at a different pace. Its normal.

Thank you all.
My clothes still fit the same, or at least it appears so to me. But I just came to the docs office and the nurse that I saw just 3 weeks ago almost didn't recognize me. So something must be working. I do appreciate all of the support.

I had my sleeve on 4/28. 10 days after surgery I hit a stall. Its been 3 weeks now and I have lost 1 pound in that time. I lost 27 pounds in the first 10 days. I know that is a lot for 1 month however when you can't eat much of anything and you exercise and its still not coming off it becomes very stressful. I know that lots of people go thru the same thing but it seems that for most of you it doesn't last this long. I'm having a very hard time staying positive.
Any help would be appreciated.

I had a sleeve on 4/28. What's a drain? I didn't have anything that had to be removed. Just curious

verdalilly got a reaction from SkinnyDown in What made you finally want Weight Loss Surgery?
For me it was when I decided I couldn't live this way anymore. I started going to the gym and with the help of meds healthy eating and exercise habits I lost 90 pounds. But then it stopped coming off so u went back to the doctor to get put back on the medication to help my metabolism. Instead I go diagnosed with 2 heart conditions. My weight was starting to creep back up and nothing I did helped. So I started this journey.
I am 3 1/2 weeks post op and I've lost 28 pounds. However I have stalled and lost nothing in 2 weeks. I know its part of the process and I can't wait to get going again.
