Hey polar gonna try mashed today.... I've been good lost about 30 lbs as well... But it looks like things are starting to slow down now so I'm only gonna weigh my self once a week.... Gonna increase my walking time as well and see if that helps......

A couple weeks ago I tried on a size 8 shorts and cried in the dressing room when they fit. It's been at least 10 years since I could wear a size 8. I love looking at medium shirts and dresses and thinking "I can wear that!"
Makes all the hard work so worth it!

Everything good here! I have moved on to mashed/ puréed foods, have lost 30 lb, and feel pretty normal. This whole thing has been easy... Though, I think I am starting to feel hunger. Wasn't expecting that, at least not yet.

I never thought I'd get to finally say this, but tomorrow is my surgery day!!!! I have been on a down hill roller coaster for the last 3 years. I have been denied numerous times by my insurance, picked a doctor's office that was not patient oriented, and lost all hope! Finally, after all of those struggles and jumping through hoops, I took my destiny into my own hands! I have financed my surgery and know that this is the best investment I could ever make in myself! I have chosen an absolutely wonderful doctor's office. Dr Wayne Westmoreland, Murfreesboro TN, is not only the first to do sleeves in TN, but he is just down right amazing! I have never made a phone call and have questions go unanswered. I have never sent an email and not receive a response. This office is the direct opposite of what I had initially chosen. To say I'm not nervous would be a lie, but knowing that I have made the best decision I could have certainly takes the load off.
I have struggled for years with infertility and PCOS. I am looking forward to positive pregnancy tests in the future to expand my family. I am looking forward to being confident and going for things that I normally wouldn't. I am looking forward to "eating to live" and not "living to eat". I am looking forward to being able to play with my niece, nephew, and step daughter without becoming winded or hurting all over.. I am looking forward to my new life
Now, does any one have any tips, tricks, or guidance to offer? I don't care what it is, I am in desperate need. LOL

Surgery is tomorrow morning and I have to check in at 5:15am! My stomach is in knots, I'm excited yet afraid at the same time. I'm tired of failing. I wanna be successful and healthy and completely understand that the sleeve is only a tool. I know I can do it. I have to do it!

I'm doing great. I had my 1 week follow up with my surgeon. I'm getting in plenty of liquids and got moved to full liquids, so no more clear Protein Drinks. Now I'm having the creamy ones, which makes me much happier.
Just a tiny bit of soreness of incisions (mainly the underneath sutures of the muscles), but no real pain since last week. I have energy, and I'm thrilled with this decision. I'm glad to hear you guys are doing well! Keep it up!

Just checking in to see how my fellow June 24thers are doing. I have had a little soreness for the last few days, but today I woke up and feel completely normal. I even woke sleeping on my stomach. Weight loss is happening too! Hope everyone is feeling good going into the weekend!

I am struggling to get my fluids in. Been doing about. to 40oz so far. I bought the Isopure Protein Water and i am so sick of it.
Started full liquid yesterday and hated it. I'll try another mixture today. I bought the unflavored powders?utm_source=BariatricPal&utm_medium=Affiliate&utm_campaign=CommentLink" target="_ad" data-id="1" >unjury and i hate it.

I had my surgery the 25th. I think I was a bit unrealistic in my expectations that I would be a bit sore but otherwise normal by postop day 1. In actuality I have had more incisional pain (particularly on the left side of my stomach) and the pain meds have made me very sleepy. Today I am just taking Tylenol as my pain has decreased. As far as a BM goes, I just started passing gas yesterday and had a small one today. I'm also learning to pace the fluids as I get more pain/nausea if I drink too fast. Trying to get all my Water in, but yesterday was only 40 oz. hoping today is better!

I am really having to pace my Clear Liquids. More than an ounce every 15 mins and I am in pain and feel like a lump is stuck.
I tried to do a sf Popsicle last night-was in pain for 30 mins. Gonna stick to warm clear liquids with my unflavored Protein mixed in.
I am so ready to advance to full liquids so I can go back to my premiere Protein shakes. They tasted so much better than this clear stuff.

Nothing here yet either. Perhaps it is normal? How much liquids etc you all getting in. I am worried that I am able to get too much...48 oz of clear, no problem. 2.5 oz stage 1 baby food, no problem. Premier Protein shake, no problem. Was intending to sip one while playing my video game yesterday and didn't even realize that I had finished it in about an hour.

my surgery was the 24th and I have not either. Also do not feel constipated. I assume it's because of the clear liquid diet.

Hey guys! I had my surgery yesterday about 6:00p and was up and walking by 1am. I peed a huge amount by 3 am which nurses were very pleased about. I was with two other patients over night and i was the only one up and walking and peeing. They had to put a catheter in them, luckily i was up and going. Pain was tolerable, most difficult part was getting in and out if bed. Starting today about noon i've had bad cramping and gas pains. They said it's normal. And Today at 5:00 i was released! I found out post op that i had a very small hernia that the doctor corrected during surgery so i'm wondering if thats why i'm having such bad cramps and gas pains. I was the only one up and walking hoping to relieve the gas pains but i have it bad on my right shoulder and bottom of my belly. I almost have a burning sensation under my belly when im getting in and out of bed, anyone hear or read about this? Is this normal? Im on clear liquids for the rest of the week and after one week follow up i'll be approved for full liquids. And another week after i'll move onto mushy foods. My doctor was only concerned about dehydration. We had to finish a whole G2 and bottle of Water verrry slowly to be discharged with vitals being checked all day long. I got 3/4 down the g2 and most of the water. Its not that i feel full but the gas pains make it hard to swallow and my throat is sore from the tubes and endoscopy. Anyway, im reallly hoping im able to burp all this out within the next couple days. Again, its not unbearable its just uncomfortable. How's everyone else feeling?

Yep, I am home. Not feeling too bad! I am getting in liquids ( feels so strange! Like it is sliding down a tube full of air) and full liquids (yea for yogurt!). Pain is manageable. How are you doing?

Yea, I am feeling pretty lucky so far. My wife is scheduled for the sleeve in 3 weeks, and a friend of hers a week after that. So, I am the guinea pig. Hopefully it stays easy to keep them encouraged.
