Just wondering if anyone is filled to there max? I almost am but not quite. I have just been maintianing for that past several months have gotten 2 fills and he won't put much in though b/c I am so close to being full. I am proud of the 50 pds I have lost but would like to loose another 10-20.This is the weight i weighted for probably 15 yrs before I really starting put the pds on, so maybe this is where I will have to stay.

We are preached to every support meeting not to drink 30 mins before you eat and wait a mim. of 30 mins after we eat but they would like a hour b/c then you have the feeling of being full longer. This is very important.

I am in Illinois you all should come here you could have as much snow and ice as you wanted i haven't seen grass in probably 2 wks, suppose to get more tonight and tomorrow also. I suppose if you don't usually get snow it would be awesome, I would like to live somewhere where i could understand that feeling of loving snow lol. Merry Christmas to all

I was exact same way for a while, I drank slim fast or carnation instist breakfast in the a.m for some extra protein then had a small lunch then like froggy said i ate most of my protien at supper time i was wide open then , then i could eat at around 5 or after.

Merry Christmas Merry Losers! Tomorrow is my bandiversary,I lost 50 and stayed there for a few months then gained about 5 pds but I lost them as of tonight so back down to 50 even again, I would still like to loose another 10-15 pds if possible if not I am happy where I am. Going to call dr. about a possible fill b/c these "mini fills" are not getting it at all. Congrads to all of us for a year of better health and well being.

I always used to wear a lot of rings in my younger days , but my fingers got to fat and couldn't wear them anymore,so the last few months ,when i go out I put on my rings, well me a some girlsfriends went out friday night and i was talking with my hands and one of my rings just flew off( i found it thank God).Now I can't wear them b/c too small.Was wearing it on my middle finger also. lol So I thought that was a kewl nsv Keep up the good work everyone

No i have never gotten my restrictions back and kick myself for getting another fill also, I am getting back on my excersing and if that doesn't help i am going to call the dr. next wk. But I am going to tell him more then .1cc or it is not worth it I have had 2 fill of that I have no change ,I feel that little amount is a waste of time and my money. Keep it touch

awesome news, have you been to any of the support group meetings yet? they are for everyone for ppl who are just curious to pre-op to post op. I have bcbs by athem and yes Chrissy will handle the insurance for you she will be the one you talk to tomorrow ,I didn't even meet the Dr. until about 2 days before my surgery my husband and I both went to meet him, he took as long as we wanted to ask all the questions we had,he is very good I think. I am trying to get back on the wagon, I have no restriction what so ever now,my mind set is starting to go back to pre band way of thinking so i have to get back into banding thinking. I to have stopped excerising.I had a support group meeting tonight the dr.was there,got me thinking a lot. i came home and walked on the treadmill for 43mins,going to try and do this everynight and stop my night snacking. I have started gaining a little so I DO NOT want to gain this back so i have to nip it in the butt before it gets out of hand. After a couple of wks of getting back on track if i don't loose then i will call the dr. But I am off my acid reflux meds so that is one blessing and I am in a size 12 from a 22, and a Lg top from a 2x so everyone keep up the good work.

When i first got the band I was really tight until around 3-4 p.m so I just went with it and drink my slimfast ect. If you get stuck and don't get relief try meat tenderizer it works awesome just put a little in a little warm water stir and drink little sips until what ever is stuck will come up, I have had to do this more then once. you still might be alittle tight if it keeps on i would call your dr and let him know what is going on.You have to get your protien in or you will have a whole other set of problems. I went and had a upper GI done on friday to see if anything was wrong with my band. I was getting concerned b/c i haven't been losing just going and up down with the same 5 pds for months. I had a mini fill done over a month ago and what little restrictions I had where gone so Dr. just wanted to make sure. I went today and everything was fine he said. I did read a thread on here about mega fills and I talked him into trying it on me after only a couple months post op and one other girl I know of had it done also.Looking back I don't think i would do that again if i had the chance to do it all over again. I don't have a lot more room in my band for fills now so hope one of these mini fills gets me to my sweet spot oh bye the way he took the fluid it out and checked it to see how much was in for sure then added.1. Down 55 pds so far, banded Dec 19,07.

I am confused I was banded in Dec. 07. Did fine until about a couple of months ago I was eating right small bites, chewing ect. but i couldn't eat any bread,pasta potatoes soft shell taco's things of this nature I would pb on the the first bite this went on.oh i wasn't loosing any weight either staying within the same 5 pds up and down.So I went to my dr. he gave me a micro fill he said, I had ,had my last fill before this one in march of 08 this is early sept for this one i think he said he couldn't even remember where my port was,my husband was in with me you could hear the needle scrapping round on my port trying to find the right spot,ever since then sometime i get sharp pains almost like a needle in there, and it is tender around my port and i can eat anything and everything bread everything i couldn't eat before and as much as i want, still having control though and still staying around the same 5 pds i have been at for a months now. i have lost around 50pds since nov 08 . Anyone suggestions. i talked to the nurse she said they might do an unfill if it keeps up, thinking that is what I will probable do.

My personal expirence was , I ended up calling my human resouce department and get a direct line to anthem b/c i couldn't get anyone to return my calls on the 800 number i had on my insurance card and surgery date coming soon and still didn't know if I was approved or not, once I got that it was a day or to till I got the go ahead. Be aggressive is my best advise and don't give up hope.
