Wonderful news!

Honestly I can say I did not have any pain. Tenderness yes, pain no. I was very tired, that was my worst complaint.
-
I tell whoever ask me. I am a strong person and do not give a darn what others think. If they would ever say "it is the easy way out", I would take that opportunity to give them a great deal of education . In no way is this the easy way out!! Nobody has said that to me yet. I am out 2 months. It is a life changing surgery.
Personally, I did not do WLS to "get skinny". I did it for health reasons. With that said, I like being thinnner . Never much worried about being over weight, I have been all my life and it is my "normal".

Let us know ok?

Is is draining, red or painful? Is it still open? If not, don't worry about it.
-
Yes I feel hunger but, it is easily gone by eating a 1/4 cup of food. Big difference in my opinion. I am one who eats about every 3 hours. And plan to continue to eat this way. Not that I cannot go longer, I just get hungry after 2-3 hours. It is amazing my diet now compared to 3 months ago. I love it.

I would call BCBS and get it straight from them. Otherwise maybe consider paying cash in Mexico? Lots of people do on here. I had mine in the states.

Not sure if you can change how we are built. I would love to lose in my boobs but that is not happening either. We can only lose where our body allows us to. Bummer I know.

Starting tomorrow, stay off the scale for 1 week. Post weight loss, next week Sunday the 28th of June. Who is with me?
-
Get up and walk as soon as they let you. It will help with pain, gas and tiredness.
Sip on water/ice chips frequently
Stay off the scale, it will only depress you. Wait at least a week, so all the Water weight is gone.
Beware you will not be able to drink much when you get home, be patient it will come.
Take pain pills at night so you can sleep good.
Enjoy your new life !!

You are PAYING for a table he said you broke? A BARIATRIC surgeon does not purchase a table that will support a bariatric patient? I am sorry but you are a fool to pay one red cent to this surgeon. Get a lawyer!! Please tell us his/her NAME, we would like to know.
He has said a lot of crap like that. He has his own forum on Facebook. The final straw for me was when a girl said....why am I still stalled. His reply was "don't worry, you will break the stall just like you broke my table from you high bmi...which I am still paying for and the hospital reminds me of everyday. "
In a public post, in a public forum, for all to see. Nothing he has said to anyone so far has been helpful. So I just went off on my own. -
Who was your doctor?
-
Unfortunately I did not have a NUT and the instructions post surgery were so inconsistent that many ppl started asking the doc. Instead of giving us correct information he just kept saying....do whatever you want...I'll resleeve you in 2 years.
So I have never asked questions since.
What? That sounds crazy.

When I called they said you will not be covered for an additional surgery. I found that intersting to say the least. Do some people have more than one WLS? I mean other than converting from a band to a sleeve/RNY. Obviously you can't have two Sleeve or RNY surgeries correct?

I am 7 weeks out and still eat every 3 hours. I am ok with it. Still losing weight and feel great!

I have bee trying new foods and it is going well. I am 71/2 weeks out. I now can eat just about anyting I would like. I tried toasted bread last night. Boy did that taste good, 1 slice of dry toast with cheese on it. I am going to get a Wendys salad tonight. YEEHAA!
Only had a couple of things I had to give more time. But they are all better now too. Feeling good. Have not tried Pasta yet, but that is ok. Do not want to get hooked on empty carbs anyway.

Well its a recap for those i was speaking to last week on my thread for weight loss... My thoughts are clear im touching on the topics of the side effects of topamax and drinking soda and lack of appetite... "Did i clearify" enough for you?
I did not understand what you were saying either. Very confusing post.
-
That is interesting.... Sure would make dating easier for those in the same situation.
-
It really is up to you, if you want WLS. My pcp told me to look into it. Doctors are not God and do not know everything you need. It is up to you to speak for yourself.
Good Luck!

Several of my friends did/do Weight Watchers. They always dip their salads "into the dressing" on the side. These same people have been dieting since Have met them, 35+ years. Anyway........ I always thought it was so stupid looking, especially when we go out to eat. But guess who does it now??? YEP ME!! Really does save calories, plus I can take the rest home to eat later. Anyone else have to eat their words????

Personally, I cannot imagine you will be ready in September. I would say a to be a good 2 1/2 to three months post op. And that is if everything goes great for you. Since you do not even have a date yet, you will not be that far out. Just my opinion. I do agree with inner surfer girl, ask the doctor. Good luck with the surgery, congrats to a new beginner in life.
