If you have all those people on your side, then you will be just fine without your mom and sisters help.
Also do you have local support groups? That will help a lot too.
Your family will come around, may not be at first but you will at least be able to go shopping with them in the future. If you want to that is
Best of luck

It is (precooked) pregrilled and tasted great out of the microwave. Next time I will try the oven though.

I was always a everyday and least once or twice a day type girl. After my last surgery it was 7 days before I went. Never felt bad. Are you passing gas or in pain? I would wait a bid if your feeling ok. Good luck!

I have been fat all my life. Never have been able to cross my legs like a lady. I can and always have been able to sit crossed leg though. I am hoping in the future I can just sit like a lady, instead of just at the ankles ! LOL

I agree. No need to tell them what you are going to have done. Tell them there will be several preop appointments that you may need off for, but you will try to schedule them after work hours if possible. That is fair enough .

Well, can't really help with the piercing stuff but my boobs have shrunk and are more saggy and it has only been 8 weeks. But I am 55 years old too! lol

I don't understand why if someone is so annoyed by 'these stupid questions' then don't just skip the thread and erase the question from their minds and move on?
For sure

Interesting......... thank you!

It is grilled and in the freezer section t the store. I am impressed and it is a perfect portion. 15 grams of Protein and two meals per box. If you like grilled fish, give it a try. I even microwave it. I bought salamon and cod also.

yep, the only reason they found it early was because of preop testing for WLS. Literally saved my life! In more ways than one.

In the end, we are all aware of who treats people with disrespect and rudeness. I know I am.

Glad I am not alone...... I hope to start when I heal from my kidney removal surgery, but that will be while.

Not hard to figure out, sorry no onions
I'm not sure how I managed to find the topic, but someone was recently lamenting (the loss of) and questioning his/her ability to drink at college parties (at the ripe ol' age of 20 something). The question was posed in possibly the most immature way.
Ever just want to shake people and/or give them a virtual kick in the ass? My initial thought was, really? Grow the F up and get your priorities straight. Not hard to figure out, sorry no onions

How many of you do not exercise?
-
Mine says 30 minutes before and 45 minutes after. Every doctor is different, but this is pretty average I think.

I have lost over 40 lbs and nobody says a word. But I have gone down almost 2 sizes so feel great about it. I think the more you have to lose the longer it takes for people to notice. Just my opinion.

This is not a nice subject to respond to but I am going to.
For all of you that are judging this 20 year old girl in a negative way,
Do you remember being 20 years old?
Were you regular sized or obese?
Did you like to party?
I was an obese 20 year old that liked to drink and go to bars. Always wishing I was as "thin" as my friends. Of course there was not WLS available back then so I do not know what I would have done.
But for goodness sake she was being honest and truthful in her questions. Have a heart. Be kind, I can only imagine what she is thinking as she reads all these replys.
On another note, those that post about not losing weight and "doing all the right things" you have one of two things going on, you are lying or it is just part of the process. There are many posts you can search and read BEFORE posting.

so many things......
We now sit in booths again also,
Not being SOB with showering or walking to the bathroom and back
Painting my own toenails
wipe my butt (TMI) I know but it was starting to become an issue
Walking into the convience store and embarrased because all I was buying was chips, doughnuts and soda and it was all for me!!
Ordering a "normal" size meal and taking 3/4 of it home for 3 additional meals.
getting out of a chair without grunting.
Any many more

As soo as they get all the results you can book it. I would think about 3-5 weeks, depending on how busy the surgeon is??
-
Took about 6 weeks for me only because I had a couple of bumps in the road. Lots of extra presurgery procedures.
-
Congrats, I was sleeved April 27, 2015. I had the same "stats" as you. I have lost 40 plus pounds and free great! Best of luck in your future!

I used the vap Without nicotine to help with the hands along with patch. Worked real well. Vapped for about 2 months and quit that too. Good luck!!
Over Eating

You are still pretty early in the process. Try eating smaller amounts every 2-3 hours and see if that helps. I am 9 weeks out and still eat several times a day. Mostly Protein still.
