  3. What a great group of friends we all have here! Last night I was so discouraged but I felt reading all the great comments from you all! I'm going to press forward and make it all happen for me! Hey I have been living my life for everyone else a good part of my 50 years! It's time for me to do something great for me now. Thank you all again for being so amazing and supportive!

  5. I was out for dinner with my family tonight who i have not seen in a while and found out non of them support my choice to have Gastric Bypass surgery... It really breaks my heart but I picked myself back up and I'm going to keep going! I just feel like I need to vent and see if anyone else has experienced such a thing? I should be having surgery really soon and I guess I will go it alone.
  6. I had my pulmonary clearance done for the last step before surgery. Now I find out my Bi-pap machine is not downloadable so they need to put me on a brand new machine for two weeks and read the download to give me clearance. I'm bummed out ????
  7. @@Leesa926 I agree with @@Gumpgal totally! Please go to the seminar and make sure you feel right about your decision! Only you can do that! Both her doctor and mine are AMAZING! they both have stellar reviews as well. As for your 6 months doctor monitored time... It goes by super fast! I could not believe how fast my 3 months was over. Please let us know if you have any other questions or concerns ????????
  8. @@Gumpgal were you dealing with Linda at St. Vincent weight loss? How long did it take them to get you an appointment for surgery after you met all your needs for Insurance. Thanks for any info you can share. Also do you have Aetna by any chance?

  10. @Gumpgal Wow what a small world! Thats great to have another local going thought it with me, I understand he is an amazing doctor as well. I have a friend who has their surgery with him and they are verf pleased. I will be having Dr. Uchal since I have to have Bypass done vs. Sleeve. My surgery should be very close to yours as well from what they are telling me. My name is Karl BTW and I will add you here as a friend so we can stay in touch that would be great!   13. Hi, I was told by the Ins. area at the Doctors and Hospital that my Ins. Co Aetna could take up to 2 to 4 weeks to give us the go ahead with surgery HELP! Is this true with anyone else?
  14. @@Leesa926 I am in the Fleming Island area and my surgery will be at St. Vincent's riverside. Dr. Uchal is my surgeon and I should have my surgery first or second week of August at this point ????... How about you???

  16. I agree feel the same as @sarahbee my doctor is putting me on the same thing low carbs the with only liquids 24hrs. pre-op. I wonder why there are so many different takes on this from doctors and hospitals.

  18. @MzAlice Thats what I am thinking mine is going to be too, The Weight loss part of the hosipital I am working with drags there feet so I am hoping and praying it's sooner then I am thinking. Anyway best of luck to you hun! I hope to talk to you more
  19. I have my Pulmonary clearance on July 6th and then wait for my Ins. Aetna to give the final approval for the go ahead. I'm so excited and cannot wait. It's been a long 3 months...
  20. I was asked to bring my Bi-Pap with me to the office visit, but as far as the last sleep study... it's been a while and I guess that doctors office would need to locate that? It's been about 5 years I would guess. I hope that does not hold my surgery up.

  22. My surgeon is requiring Pulmonary Clearance and I am already on a Bi-Pap machine. Does anyone have any idea what they will do to approve clearances for me? I pray they don't want me to have to do another sleep study prior to surgery. I know I will need one sometime after surgery when I have lost a lot of weight. Thanks y'all Karl
