  1. Hi everyone, I had surgery on October 6th and today I am exactly 20 days post op. I could seriously use some help from some of you. I went to my 2 week post op appointment on Thursday October 15th and I was 12 lbs down since surgery (great ????) Then I was upgraded to puree foods. About 3-4 days after that I saw that I gained 4lbs ????????. And I panicked because I haven't heard of this. I hadn't been over eating because you get full quick, I hadn't been eating starch, I have been follow Doctors orders to the T with my protein and water intake. So I began researching and I found out it was some what normal (sigh of relief ????) but I haven't seen those extra lbs come off yet. I can admit I know I may be over thinking it but it's only because I want to do well and use this tool to my best abilities. And yes I'll be talking with my Doctor but until then can someone please shed some light on this. Thanks so much! Sincerely, A sleeve newbie
  2. Wow 6 weeks is a long time, I'm not sure about asking Pcp for another location to attend however its shouldn't be a problem I don't think. After all I just think they refer you to the location that's closest
  3. oh cool, keep in touch please I just went to my first actual class on Monday basically it was paper work. Blah blah blah lol..... They gave us a binder with information and told us as of week 3 we can go for our blood and stool lab
  4. Actually I do know what FMLA is lol I thought you were talking about something else silly me
  5. I hear a lot about FMLA not sure what it's all about tho I have to find out
  6. thanks dear, I just don't want anything hindering me from getting this surgery, this forum has been a big help and support. thanks, I just wanna do my best
  7. Thanks, I love the no white foods I will definitely add that as well. I'll keep ya updated
  8. I agree 4 weeks would be too much for me as well considering my job I sit during the whole shift but I'm gonna initially say 4 weeks my jobs time off paper work says I can come back early if I wish as long as I give a days notice. So if I'm ok after a couple of weeks then I'll return. Im absolutely not disclosing what I'm having done. It's none of there business lol
  9. Hello everyone, On Monday I begin my 12 week options classes through Kiaser. As a prerequisite I have to lose 29 pounds. Anyone have a exercise or diet regimen that worked well for them? I know during these classes we will meet with a nutritionist but just asking to see what works. As for dieting I plan to eat clean by eating no processed foods & no rice or pasta. Let me know I have exactly 3 months and I'm gonna need them all lol
  10. Omg I'm so... Happy to hear all is well you've been on my mind. When do they plan to release you? Congrats on a successful surgery. Keep us posted on your progress
  11. and that's exactly what I plan to say too lol
  12. funny you should mention not telling your employer because I don't want to share that information either. Only because I work at a small company and when one person knows something they all know and that's not something I want. I'm gonna have to look into if I have to disclose that information. Because I only wanna share it with "need to know individuals"
  13. perhaps your low bmi is the reason either way congrats! I'm excited for you already
  14. body analysis was just where they take a picture of you and officially weigh you in for the first time and then tell you how much weight you have to loose before surgery
  15. Sure! Father in the name of Jesus I come to you on behalf of Brigitte Romanelli. Lord I ask you to to calm every bit of her fears right now. Your word say you didn't give us a spirit of fear but of power, love and a strong mind! Lord I ask you to strengthen her for surgery. Touch her mind body and soul. Let her know you are with her even at this very hour. As she prepares for surgery Lord you lead and guide the surgeon so that every thing is done to perfection because you are a perfect God. Touch every one that is assigned to her. Let immeasurable favor be shown towards her. Touch her body before and after this surgery. Jesus do it in a way that Brigette knows it was nobody but you. Lord demonstrate your unfailing love for her. Remind her that you have ALL power in your hand. Lord give your Angeles the authority to watch over and protect her. I take the authority in the name of Jesus and bind any plan of attack from the enemy. In the mighty name of Jesus I pray Amen!
  16. I'm ready too! I think doing this program prior to surgery helps educate you, put you in routine for exercise (if your not doing so already), and of course the dieting. Let's go!
  17. Wow congrats to you both, and thanks for the info. I'm gonna plan to take 2-3 weeks off work if my job should allow it (most likely). I believe I will do what you and your husband did and do lots and lots of walking
  18. Yea! What she said ⬆LOL how are you hum? Hopefully well
  19. May 6th is right around the corner, are you prepared? How much weight did you lose pre op? I know my time will fly by because of weekly classes and preparing for this life changing experience. Good luck
  20. I share your pain and pray that God helps you through this, I recently lost my mother in January she died of heart disease she had multiple other illnesses high blood pressure, diabetes, GERD, COPD, ulcer and morbidly obese. We both lived care free lives not putting to much thought into being healthy. After all I knew many of plus size women right? But it took my mother's death and not just that but actually reading her extremely thick medical record for my own wake up call. So here I am determined and often reminded of her as I'm often reminded of health and how hers could of improved had she had a surgery like this. But God knows best. Be encouraged your not alone
  21. great! Love to keep in touch in in los angeles, I just began I had the initial information seminar today and tomorrow I have the body analysis then Monday begins the Options program. Doesn't seem that long I'm motivated! I'll keep ya updated on my progress
  22. that's very interesting Kiaser is so different within California in in southern California and have to take a 12 week options program before even getting an appointment with the surgeon. I just went to my informational meeting today and go for the body analysis tomorrow. I'm counting down the days
  23. Hi I have Kiaser in California and just began the program. I haven't had to a 6 month wait, I'm not sure what that's about perhaps did you read in the literature about a 6 month supervised diet like I did. Well today I went to the information session and they didn't mention it being a requirement. I have my body analysis tomorrow then begin the 12 week options program that's weekly. Afterwards I'm told then we are scheduled for an appointment with the surgeon where they will determine if your ready for surgery. Not to mention we have to loose 10% of your weight. Keep me posted love to keep in touch with someone who is around the same stage as I
