Glad I'm not the only one who is obsessed with having their surgery! LOL! I think since I made this decision, I've been driving my friends crazy with surgery talk. LOL! I even joked with my co workers about being happy that I won't be able to eat much after surgery the other day. This is an exciting time for us all! My second class with at the surgeons office is going to be on June 8th. That only leaves my endo and the final class before surgery can happen!

I'm Jealous! LOL! I have no idea where I am in the approval process exceptto know I need to pay my deductible before my endo next month.

I just had my first class with the surgeons office on Monday and now I'm patiently waiting for my Nut appointment on the 20th. My endo was rescheduled for next month but other than that It seems like everything is on schedule so far!

I just had my Psych eval today and I wasn't asked anything about that. I understand that each doctor is different but really all I was asked was if I understood that this is a life changing process and that I had to change my ways in order for the surgery to work. I was also asked about my support system and any history of mental illness, alcohol use or smoking. Hope that helps!

Just got home from my Psych eval. Everything looks great and my surgeon should have the letter recommending surgery by Friday of this week. I'm excited! Now just have to wait until May 20th for the Nut appointment and my Endo some time in June since it just got rescheduled this morning. So very excited to be on this journey! Rhonda

Welcome!!! I'm sure you'll find lots of info and stories here so you'll be a very informed patient. My first visit with my surgeon was about 30 min and he basically looked over my medical files and the paperwork and discussed that I did qualify for wls. After that it was about 30-40 min with the Surgery Consultant and thats where everything was laid out a tad bit more about before and after surgery, what classes I have to take, the Nut and Psych appts, etc. Good Luck!

Like I said before, I have really bad heartburn all the time so my dr is going to be checking for any damage and a possible hernia. On a side note, I'm kinda bummed as my Nut appointment that was scheduled for this Wednesday was rescheduled for the 20th. But.... I'm still on the fast track (at least in my head) to getting this surgery done.

Just found out that my Endo is scheduled for May 22nd. Its awesome and yet scary at how quickly everything is happening. I'm glad we all are in the same boat! Its nice to have someone who understands exactly whats going on.. My co workers and family don't exactly get why I'm so excited to have doctors appointments. LOL!

My total out of pocket for rhe surgeon is $664, but I have to pay $175 for 3classes at the surgeons office $180 for the Nut and my $25 copay for the Psychology appt. So total I'm. Gonna be out like $1000 plus.

I don't have my endo scheduled yet, but that's the only other thing left for me to get scheduled. I only have to see the Nut and Psych once, so I'm excited that we're all here to support each other. Our surgeries will be scheduled and here before we know it! Rhonda
