  1. Just had surgery on 5/8. I lost about 13lbs on my pre-op diet. I don't think I've lost anything since surgery. :-( I feel like I am so full. Yet they ask that I get in 2oz in every hour or so. Plus liquids. UGH.....
  2. I'm doing Boost Calorie Smart - Chocolate. It's the best that I've had and approved by my nutritionist. I bought stuff from them and I just don't like it. I'm switching to Boost also...may cost a bit more, but has less sugar, haven't tried it yet so we'll see I had my preop testing today, just some blood work and my final visit with my surgeon, everything looks great! All that is left is a preop class they give for final questions (nutritionist and nurse give it), what to pack, what to expect, what to buy, etc. I am so excited but the butterflies have started...I am finally like "OMG this is really happening!" lol I hear ya! Butterflies something awful! I'm excited, nervous, determined, etc. So many emotions! I think you will like the boost. I love it. I've lost 8lbs on my pre-op liquid diet so far. Now I'm being asked by one or two of those who know I am having the surgery why I can't just continue on my own without surgery. They just don't understand! OMG, I get that question a lot too! What is it with people??? I started my journey in Sept of last year and my doc wanted me to loose 10 lbs...I started Weight Watchers last Oct and lost over 30lbs...so I got that question a lot from other WW people...yeah it was working for me and what not, but it was so hard and I just couldn;t really afford it long term...plus I have other health issues that having this surgery will definitely help with..anyway, i am SO GOOD with my decision...I know there may be a point where I regret doing it (apparently it's a thing) but I have been researching and prepping for over 15 years really...so I am way good! Good luck with yours too...I am really liking this site so far We've got this!

  8. I have been on my liquid diet for a week now. It's not nearly as bad as I thought it would be. I'm amazed that I haven't been tempted to cheat! Are you on yours? You will do great!
  9. My nutritionist told me that I could take 2 flintstones a day and to get b12 that disolves in your mouth. I found the B12 at Kroger for 6.99 Buy one get one free. That's it for Vitamins.

    Pre op fail

I am finishing up my 3rd day of the liquid diet. It's VERY hard. I've stuck to it but it isn't easy. I've been trying to stay busy, drink a lot of Water, do my shakes every 3 hours and I have been chewing sugar free gum. I still have a lot of days left (11) so I am scared I will mess up. I hope everything works out for you! I'm sure you will be fine.
  11. My date is May 8th. I am going on my 4th day of pre-op liquid diet. It hasn't been horrible but I am not thrilled with the smoothies that I bought from the nutritionist. But I will push through!!!! :-) So exciting and scary.

    My Surgery is on Thursday!

    So exciting! Almost here!
  13. My surgery is scheduled for May 8th! I'm on day 3 of my liquid diet. I feel like these will be the longest 2 weeks of my life. LOL I think my biggest fear is the skin. I don't want to look horrible. :-( Good luck with your surgery! It's going to be a big month.
  14. I am a newbie and my surgery date is May 8. I am excited and nervous! I am on my 3rd day of the pre-op liquid diet. I bought smoothie mixes in my nutrition classes and I don't think they are very good but I force myself to drink them. Ugh... It will be a long 2 weeks, but I'm sure it will get easier. My husband is being so supportive, bless his heart. He went shopping yesterday and bought himself stuff that he likes that he knows I don't. He said it's not fair for him to eat in front of me. I keep trying to tell him that this was my decision and I am fine with him eating stuff, it will not bother me! I am such a picky eater, I am nervous about post-op. I know I will be able to do it. I guess the nerves are normal. Any advice would be great! Looks like there are many success stories on here, that is very encouraging!!!!
