  1. Not to sound mean but your parents seem to be grouchy. I hate when people try to battle or compare there past experience with yours. It's not about who had a bigger surgery or who had more pain. Really! They were selfish and unconcerned from the beggining , laughing at your weight, being late to pick you up then, making smart ass remarks about you being out of breath. Pay no attention to them. Go on with your normal routine as if they were not there. You have support from your husband and that's good enough. Maybe there is a sense of jealousy . Keep your head up. You'll be fine. Especially when you start dropping pounds. Good luck
  2. I did the same thing. Taking a scale to a restaurant is ou of the question. I'm almost 2 months post op and I've learned to eat slow and choose things that won't expand or take up to much space in my stomach. Like drinking or eating bread. In my mind I always say I don't wanna waste my space on that. Id rather get full on something better. When I went to eat sushi I ate only the fish and not the rice. I hope it gets better for you. Good luck.
  3. I had very Bad cramps and back pain when I started my menstruation. It was so bad it woke me in the middle of the night. I never had a problem with this ever in my life. I did take tylenol and when I went to the doctor they said I should check with my OBGYN to check if I have a cyst. UM, I was like really! I cant be the only one. I hate when Drs past the buck. If I had a cyst wouldnt I have continuous pain rather it was the time of the month or not? Its so irritating sometimes. Anyway I just dealt with it and praying it dont happen again this month.
  4. I'm in love with the Syntrax Nectar Ice Tea. I mix it water and drink it 3 times a day with ice. It. Taste just like a refreshing yummy ice tea. I also can't stand the taste or smell of the chocolate, vanilla, or strawberry mixes. I have also tried the fuzzy naval and it's like a orange juice in the morning, it's good to, but the ice tea is delish, even my kids like it.

    Vitamins

Look into vitamin patches. Ive been using them faithfully. They are WONDERFUL! I have 4 different ones that have all the required vitamins I need, I put it on for 24hrs and repeat every 4-5 days (2 of the patches is every 4 days and the other 2 is every 5 days) my levels are all up to par and I don't have do swallow anything. I love my Viatamin Derma Patches. Check it out.
  6. So are you suggesting drinking wine last? @auntim0502 ... Now @ actlinton16 I wonder what people would say was the problem if your post mentioned all the problems except the wine? People are quick to blame the alcohol. Are bodies are all different. You will figure it out. Hang in there your scale will start to move down again.
  7. I had the topping off of a supreme pizza 1 week out. Chewed it forever before swallowing. It was gooood! And I was fine.

    Cereal

HeyI would say to just taste it. One bite and you might not want anymore.
  9. I experienced the same thing. I however am afraid of drinking a beer because of the carbonation. I did however have 6 4oz glasses of wine 1 month postoperative and felt no different than I would have before surgery.
  10. @@jackiemc1987 wait fingers are pointing at me to LOL. We just are the few that tell it like it is. We don't type a bunch of BS, while swallowing down a candy bar. LOL
  11. @ Lipstick Lady, I never ever do expect sympathy from people, I don't complain about stalls, and of course I'm not looking for anyone to congratulate or encourage me. I never expected to be condoned either but I am. So with this being said, I have everything I need, and I'm Happy in my own skin, and Im just sharing my experiences with other's. I know that there are people out there that wonder about certain things that's why we all joined this forum. I do gather a lot of knowledgeable information and never knock anyone down. If I read a post like I wrote I would probably respond by saying something like "Thank god you're okay and did not experience anything horrifying," Every"BODY" is different, what is good for you may not be good for me. Think about it. and goodluck on youre journey for I have been blessed a million times over with mine. 1 month post op and Im down 35 pounds. i feel and look amazing.

    Cost post op

I got sleeved in April 14, 2015, so 2 days past a month and I am on my 2nd bottle of Protein. I'm drinking the nectar fuzzy naval and it cost 36.99 plus tax. the Soups are under 2.00 and you will not even be able to finish a whole can. I am actually saving a lot of money not being able to eat as much as i used to.
  13. @@Slimsoon1988 is was closer to 4 weeks not 2 weeks. Anyhow yes it was and still is quite early. But thank god I'm fine and like I said before I have no desire to go that extreme anytime soon.
  14. Every one has there own opinion, and that's good. It was just one night that I went out and had drinks . I have no desire to do it again anytime soon. About the eating part. It was a bite not a full meal or a whole hot dog. I said I had some not sat and ate the whole pizza all the ice cream or a whole hot dog. One bite was enough and worked to take away the WANTING it. I guess I am just one of the few fortunate ones to not experience horrible side effects. My BMI. Before surgery was right at the go line. If I lost a couple more pounds before surgery I would have not Been able to proceed. I paid out of pocket. The whole thing . And have no regrets. I'm happy with my decisions and my life. Are you?
  15. Look into vitamin patches. I bought a bunch from my drs office, I stick it on for 24 hrs usally on my thigh hip but or arm, then I take it off and don't put on another one for another 4-5 days. Depending on the vitamin patch. I have muli vitamin, omega 3 b-12 ect. It's sure beats swallowing pills. Check it out, I love it.
  16. Well the cups that were being served was about 6 oz but not filled to the top, so I would say maybe 4-5 oz. I really believe it depends on the individual. 5 days after the wine and I'm doing great and still loosing weight.

    Post op Diet

Every Dr. Has different instructions post op. it sounds like a lot that you had on your plate but I bet it was just a few bites. Retried beans were allowed, in fact anything healthy that could sled through a funnel was ok. You also took it slow. I say good job. Protein is a good thing, we all heal different, some faster than others. I myself think I healed great, I was an out patient, went shopping the next day, never swallowed a pain pill and my incisions were healed a week later. I also ate the topping off of a supreme pizza one week post op with no problem. Just don't stuff yourself or you will feel like one big gas bubble wanting to throw up. Good Luck.
  18. Seriously 1 bite won't kill you. I'm 1 month post Op and had 100's of cravings and I'm not going to lie I did take a bite here and there, sometimes maybe you have to take a bite to realize you don't want it. I mean really, you didn't sit down and eat the whole thing. You'll be fine.
  19. Last night I had 6 cups of wine and one cup baileys with butterscotch chnapps. I was fine and didn't feel anymore intoxicated than I would have felt before the surgery. Is this normal. However I was never a wine drinker I was a beer drinker but I stay away from carbonation. I got sleeved on 4/14/15
  20. I to have been stalled for 1 whole week now. I'm going on my fourth week today, I hope the scale starts moving.

    Jealous Spouse

He sounds like a spoiled brat. Seriously. It sounds like you're more of his mother/ Maid. I would say he's jealous but he has been doing this for quite some time. What about his kids? Are they not able to help out? Do they have chores? Make a list for each kid to do everyday. I know love doesn't disappear over night, but he better watch out you don't run into a man who will treat you like a queen you deserve to be. Believe me it can happen right when you're not expecting it. Hang in there. You got this. I wish you the best in you're weight lost. Maybe you can visit Hawaii someday? Good luck .
  22. In 2 dys I will be 3 weeks post op. I've been eating solid food but I've been chewing it over 30 times before I swallow it. Can't eat but3-4bites before feeling like its gonna come out my throat. I'm doing great . And feel great.
  23. I'm on 3 weeks and next week right before I Make 1 month I have a celebration also. I've been thinking about it. Maybe adding a shot of vodka to my nectar orange protein? Let me know PLeASe if you decide to go for it. Maybe I might just have a glass of wine instead. Looking forward to hear from you.
  24. Maybe it's to thick. I had a shake as soon as I got out and I was an out patient. I'm drinking the Fuzzy Naval orange and it works great for me. It does however take me over an hour to drink it but I did. I also ate ice chips all day.
  25. I had similar issues. i actually took a bite of a hot dog chewed it over 40 times waited an hour and drank my shake i felt great. I think it was all in my mind but the bite did me well. i did this 9 days post sleeve op
