My nausea only lasted a day or so. Are you taking an anti nausea medication? If it's bad to the point where you can't get fluids in, talk with your doctor. There are many different kinds. Hang in there it will get better.

I think you answered your own question. Perhaps some Miralax is in order. Your weight will vary a bit from day to day but you aren't going to have a sustained weight gain at that calorie intake level.

Cranky sleeve: need some advice please
wascott replied to mchap25's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
@@by Gods Grace I've been using Premier Protein for many weeks. It's my favorite out of all the protein drinks that I've tried. I don't like isopure protein drinks. Weird flavor and too high in carbs. Nothing I've eaten so far bothers my sleeve. I hope it offers the restriction I need to lose weight! -

@@PChayy05 I've noticed that my butt gets tired of sitting since I've lost some weight. I wonder if your numbness could be caused by that. It might be a good idea to run it my your surgeon though. -

You've got this! I was sleeved on Monday and feel great. -
I guess I'm one of the lucky ones. I can drink liquids easily. I can drink 16 ounces in 30 minutes. It does make me wonder if my food restriction will be enough. (Sleeved on Monday) Keep sipping. It should improve over time.

No feeling of restriction at 2 months

I read that hunger should be reduced. I have felt hungry. Nothing too bad though. I've been on liquids for so long that I'm really looking forward to eating solid food again. I will continue to follow the rules in the mean time. -

I use myfitnesspal. Works on phones and tablets and synchronizes the data. -

@@PChayy05 I had some chest pain early on especially when I leaned over to drink my chicken broth. It sort of throbbed. I think it was caused by all of the swelling. It only lasted a couple of days for me. @@NellZ I didn't get a drain. Every day has been better than the last. -

@@BusyLizzy They provided compression socks while I was at the OCC. Anti-nausea medication was included in the medications that I left with. I also got a second one when I was there fkr my leak test just in case. I didn't need it though. -
I get to start creamy soups next week. Hopefully that will help. I have to wait until day 18 to start pureed foods and cottage cheese. I can also start eggs then.

I'm 5 days out and I'm amazed how much liquid I can drink at this point. It makes me wonder how much food I'll be able to eat. -
I'm 5 days out. I have no problems drinking liquids and protein shakes. Whether it's head hunger or real hunger - I have it. I swear I was less hungry on my pre-op liquid diet.

I was sleeved on Monday. I'm doing awesome! All of my pain is gone and I can drink liquids with no problems. I'll exceed 100 ounces today. I go slower when I drink protein shakes. Maybe 30 minutes for an 11 ounce shake. My problem is that I want some real food. I'm allowed drinkable yogurt and protein shakes now. -
What was your level of PAIN?
wascott replied to jadama22's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I was sleeved on Monday. I had moderate pain the first couple of days. Maybe some mild pain the third day. Now, five days out, I have virtually no pain. Even if I push right on my incisions I have barely any discomfort. I did have some nausea the day after surgery but it went away and didn't return. -
Advice needed! Clear Liquid diet.
wascott replied to brookealison2001's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Same opinion here. Get your clear fluids in before you worry about your protein. My first protein was an isopure clear protein drink on day 4. Day 5 I did an isopure and later in the day a premier protein shake. Take very small sips and wait before taking another sip. You need to learn how your new stomach is going to feel. If you feel full or stuck then it's time to stop. You still have a lot of swelling. It will get better. Also...bubbles are bad. Try not to swallow bubbles. The bubbles can be difficult to burp out with all that swelling and can cause some pain and or discomfort. -

@@RNsleever715 I encourage you to bring things that work for you. Please discuss it with one of the doctors before taking it just to make sure there isn't an interaction problem with one of the medications they give you. Every one else in my group (4 other people) did really well. The OCC is there to help. You can contact them at any time. If you need to see a doctor after you're back at the hotel all you do is have the hotel shuttle drive to to the OCC. It's good to be prepared but I wouldn't worry too much. -

wascott replied to mchap25's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
@@RNsleever715 I had bad nausea the first night (at the hotel) after my medications wore off. The prescription said to take every 12 hours. I took one at about 8 hours and it helped. I picked up a second medication yesterday just in case. I've been doing really good now though. I slept through the night and I'm feeling pretty good this morning. Just take things slowly and you'll do fine. The OCC is there to help if you have any issues. -

My nutritionist told me to introduce new foods slowly one at a time. If a new food isn't tolerate then back off for a few more days before trying again. I'm only on day 2. Having a rough enough time getting liquids in while fighting nausea. The tiniest of air bubbles in my new tummy makes me nauseous. Gook luck! -
