Mirena IUD - I think it may have stopped my loss?

I have the non-hormonal IUD as well, because I have so many issues with any hormone type birth controls. I'd recommend talking to your doc about non-hormonal types of birth control. My doc recommended para guard for me because there are no hormones. I get the same results without the mess I got with hormones. It did take a few months to adjust.
  2. Is there a local group in Atlanta? I work and live in Atlanta. I'm newly banded and just days out from surgery. My doc's office does monthly meetings, but I wouldn't mind something regular and closer to me than Johns Creek. Anyone interested?

    Middle back pain

I'm not a back sleeper, but it's the only way I can get comfortable post surgery. That plus gas has lead to discomfort in my back also. Low setting for heating pad and gas-ex strips are helping with gas a lot.
  4. Congrats on your weight loss!! Sometimes people are uncomfortable giving compliments about weight. They tend to just notice and not say anything. I'm sure after even more loss more things will be said. I totally get why you care - you're busting your butt to get here and want credit. 47 lbs is such amazing progress!! Congrats again. The acknowledgements will come!

    Surgery scheduled!

Hi! I just had my surgery this morning. I'm doing pretty good! Hang in there. You can do this!!
  6. My surgery is scheduled for June 4th. I'm just waiting for flight and hotel confirmations (which I should receive tomorrow). I'm so looking forward to this. I have read The Big Book on Lap-Band and feel pretty prepared. The pre-op diet has been going well. Mainly an experiment of trying the recommended protein shakes until I find the ones I like. I have them narrowed down. I've cleaned out my kitchen and feel like I'll be ready to return to Atlanta from Dallas with the clear liquids I need for success. I am on quite a few allergy meds, but once I find alternate solutions for taking those larger pills I feel pretty prepared. Any advice for success would be greatly appreciated! Anyone close to their surgery date also?
