Dr say I can star puréed /soft foods and he told me puréed stage is more like soft food stage.
So I've started to do one meal soft food and 1/2 shake meals cause I don't want to take too much Protein (bad). And lot of Water in between. I made egg tuna salad and got out my scale and portioned 4oz containers and had first "meal".
Got about 3oz (four spoonfuls) and full.i stayed full for about hour and a half. I estimate my new tummy size is about 2.5 oz for now. I plan on using scale to make portion controlled meals so I don't eat too much and throw up.
I use my lose it app and created recipe for the salad and it gave me nutritional information so I know eggsectly how much protein/carbs.(lol)
Anyone else doing this,???

For me I drink a lot in between meals and keep busy doing stuff /exercise. I don't think I'm hunger but do battle with cravings. I just tell myself this is temporary till I get to goal. Head hunger is a b****h!

2. Concentrate on staying hydrated....if you feel you are dehydrated (dry mouth and not peeing) go to emergency room and ask for iv fluids.

Okay
I went thru very similar vsg on May 4th as well.
1.in recovery I was nauseous/dry heaving and they placed a patch be hind ear for nausea and in iv drip as well. I think you need stronger anti nausea meds.

Okay ...vsg done yesterday noon time and went up to hospital room around 5pm... Spent a lot of time in recovery and in some pain. Thru the night had nausea and discomfort. Was pescribed dilaudid so I in and out it all night. This morning had a ctscan while drinking white liquid. No leaks were found so now I'm on clear liquid. Now after I got back from ctscan 4-5 oz of Water and started throwing but it was more of a dry heave. I got to get use to my new stomach.
