    Frustrated

Relax, are you exercising? Getting enough Water? Getting all your Protein?

    Today has FINALLY ARRIVED!

@kempermorris I know I'm not getting enough fluids but I sip all day long and I can't get anymore in. I get my Protein in which is 22oz a day of fluids. I am constantly drinking, I have a timer set and every ten minutes I take a couple of gulps, more than that or faster than that and I get sick. I just don't know what to do

    Today has FINALLY ARRIVED!

@TLW is it with the special milks? How does Isopure taste? I think that may be one I haven't tried.
  4. You'll be glad you did it, maybe not in a month, but eventually.
  5. Day 15 post op. Still trying to figure out this soft food diet thing. One bite to much gives me pain at my lower sternum but can't figure out when that one bite is until I've already taken it!

    Premier protein!

I'm getting tired of the chocolate, I can't stand the strawberry and the vanilla is tolerable only. The best strawberry I've found is the unjury Strawberry Sorbet! Yum

    June 10th a new beginning

@mdunaway79 that's really great! I had some pain, more like a pulling sensation but it's much better now, 15 days post op. I also had a hiatal hernia they fixed. So your well on your way now, take it slow and easy. I found that just building back up my strength took a while. I started soft foods this week and found out that even 5 tiny bites is to much!

    Today has FINALLY ARRIVED!

@TLW Where do you get this fairlife milk? Never heard of it. I'm drinking Premier premade Protein drinks, they are 11oz with 30gms protein. I'm 15 days post op and I worry I'm not getting enough fluids. My mouth feels dry a lot. I drink my two 11 oz Protein Drinks and can usually manage about a 16oz bottle of Water a day but that's all. If I drink to fast I get sick. I'm not eating Breakfast (started soft foods this week) and having a Protein shake instead because I'm not suppose to drink during or for 45 minutes after I eat, so I just don't eat breakfast and have one of my Protein shakes instead.

    No Complications

@angelinnc32 I'm just 15 days post op but what is this "diet" that you speak of? I really haven't been told what to eat! The docs seem to think I can eat whatever and I'm still going to loose weight. That may be true but they don't know me! I need specifics on what to eat or I can screw this up!

    What is your cocktail?

Nascobal (B12 nasal spray used once a week, by prescription). My doc prescribes this and the company sends me my Calcium chewable, Multivitamin chewable and Iron chewable for free. Check out their program. I'm sure you can google it.
  11. So how are you doing? My surgery was June 1st. I got to start soft foods this week. It's a challenge at first but you'll get used to it in no time!

    Feel lost...pleas help!

plain fish or chicken and a couple bites of non starchy veg is what my doc told me. Not very adventurous but will work

    HUGE favor to ask

I just sent you a friend request
  14. @Mobeans63 I agree with you! I just don't see how you could possibly eat enough Protein, even if all you ate was high quality high protein foods. There just isn't enough room in my little pouch!
  15. I'm 15 days post op and so far everything taste the same, haven't really had that much food yet but what I have had taste the same.

    Frustrated

I'm 2 weeks post op today and I'm not snappy, just kind of sad. I miss my friend, food!
  17. @bellabloom So what does your exercise routine look like?

    Hiccups!

@ejones8979 I wouldn't risk it, still to soon. I didn't have hiccups before surgery but seem to have them a lot the first couple of weeks after and yes it hurts right after surgery!

    Qualifications

Maybe, depends on your insurance. A lot of insurance policies don't care if your borderline, they want you to be a full blown diabetic for it to count.

    One Week from today!

The liquid diet is hard but very necessary. Hang in there.

    gas and smell

I only had gas right after surgery and I don't think it had any smell

    Too much for me

My surgery was June 1st and I tried to eat some soft food this weekend and I guess I ate to much or my little pouch just wasn't ready because it felt like it was stuck in my chest. Takes all the fun out of eating when you can't eat but two bites, it's really more trouble than it's worth! I really just want to get back into some sort of normal routine! I'm back at work full time, that helps some. I know I'm not drinking enough but I can only get so much down! I'm getting my two Protein shakes in but not much more than that, and that takes me forever! I knew my life would be different but when will it be some sort of normal again?

    Protein

@KQ46 I've just started on soft foods and after just a few bits (less than 3 oz) I feel like it's stuck in my chest! That's not a pouch thing right?
