  1. Worse than being mentally abusive, he is physically abusive. Having WLS wouldn't change that. You need to do what is right for you. If you think marriage counseling would work and he receiving individual counseling and AA intervention would help, then give it a try if you want to save this relationship. He has no right to ever physically (or mentally abuse you). IMHO, unless he wants to really change, things will probably only get more abusive. Maybe spend the next few nights at a good friend's or relative's house for both of you to think things over. I wish you the best for whatever choice you make. I'm sorry your New Year started this way.
  2. Proteins are a good snack since they take longer to digest and take that edge off the hunger. Also with the leftovers now, I will keep some 1-2oz portions of chicken breast in the fridge or freezer (it only takes a minute to defrost) as a quick go to snack.
  3. Dropped down to half caf then decaf prior to surgery, then decaf, half caf and regular coffee post surgery as my stomach healed. Decaf could also be an irritant due to the acidity for some people. Follow your plan.
  4. Your dog is getting to be very overweight because you now have scraps left over from dinner.
  5. Congratulations on your weight loss. You look great!
  6. Congratulations. You will have a successful weightloss journey.
  7. You will. Thanks for sharing this image.
  8. It may not be as much of her not approving a lesbian lifestyle as much as it was in a hospital in public. Now if she joined in, man that would have made for a great story.
  9. Congratulations on your surgery and the beginning of a new you.
  10. Did they install a Kosher stomach in you by mistake?
  11. For surgery it may be necessary, for a dental visit it is never acceptable.
  12. Same. Hugs to you. Thank you LL. Life puts what is most important to us in perspective.
  13. It may seem very difficult not to be able to partake in all of the food festivities, but you can still enjoy the company of loved ones and friends. This is the first holiday season after the passing of two immediate family members. There are worse things than not being able to enjoy the holiday goodies. I hope you had a Merry Christmas and were thankful for the things you have; I was, or at tried to.
  14. Can you be honest and let him know how you feel? Is there possibly insecurity on his part because of the weight you lost so far and plan to lose? Keep up the excellent weight loss effort!
  15. That is nicer than telling her to tell him he is a Alpha Sierra Sierra Hotel Oscar Lima Echo.
  16. This is a weight loss journey, not a race. Keep up the great work.
  17. If people used the search function, then there wouldn't be all those "Are stalls (or 3 week stalls) normal?" or similar questions that we enjoy seeing posted two or three thousand times. Also, we need to stir up the debate over drinking carbonated beverages and/or the use of straws every few days to keep things lively here.
  18. The best deal there was you are no longer involved with her.
  19. You will surf the internet for WLS related sites, llike BP, instead of ones like the Food Network.
  20. I am sorry this happened. Congratulations on your amazing weight loss and the more beautiful, healthier you. Now that is something worth celebrating!
