  1. I know we do! I saw your post. My goal seems impossible but I still want to try for 125lbs. I am 5'1" so a shorty. I haven't been that small since teen years. My mom is like that and we have similar body structure. I need 30 lbs. Everyone says the first 6 months is when weight loss is best and we still have 3 more months for 6 months post op. I am hopeful. I started going to gym 2 X a week. Last week too hard with travel and holiday. Will get back to it this week. Good luck to everyone on reaching our goal. Great thing is usually at end of year we are all thinking about dieting this year we are already on the journey and succeeding!!

  2. My surgery date was 8-10-15 it was a Monday. I was 194lbs that day today's weight 155. But my high preop weight was 211. I worried I would gain for this past week but I lost 2.8 lbs. I did eat some carbs just not too many. I have been lucky i can tolerate most everything I eat but I am very cautious. I eat mostly turkey or chicken. I did eat a pork tamale. I wonder if mixing up my food choices helped I usually only loose 1 to 2 lbs per week. Happy to hear everyone is doing well. Love wearing small sizes too! Now I think about what to wear I have so many choices. I still wear some of my 1X and 2X stuff but they look very big. Now wearing size 14 pants and large or Xl tops. I feel good!

  3. Have been averaging 2 lb loss per week. So far 34 lbs since surgery. Current weight 160 and size 14. I was a 3X its still weird not going to women's plus department i pass it and remember but happy to be wearing large and size 14. Still need 35 more. Started spin class this week did pretty good. Its so much easier to exercise being less heavy. Hope the exercise will give me more results. Also i think i dont eat enough either so i am trying to pay attention to my intake as well. Hope everyone is doing well.

  4. I am 3 months out with sleeve. Started at BMI 38 with surgery weight of 194 - i am 5ft 1in. Today weight is 161. Had been losing more first 2 weeks then averagi g 2 lbs per week last 2 weeks losing 1to 2 lbs per week feel I am going to stall soon. Join the gn n going to start today. I don't eat very much and mainly deli turkey, cheese and grilled chicken breast. Sometimes I have green Beans. I still try to have 1 Protein Shake per day with 1% milk. I feel better reading these posts looks like I could reachy goal by February of 125lbs. For now i feel great and people tell me everyday that I look great.

  5. I still have mild itching. Usually when its hot or after showering. Also if I get stressed or anxious. It's my legs back and arms mostly. Surgery on 8-10-15. I find that i can calm myself or distract myself. Also i try to put on alot of body lotion. I changed my soap to avenno moisturizing body soap and I stopped using a scrubbie thing when bathing. Also i try to use mildly warm water; before I used hot Water for shower. For awhile even my skin was peeling really bad on my face. Now I have face creams.

  6. Surgery 8-10-15

    Starting weight 211

    Surgery weight 194

    Current weight 161

I too can cross my legs. Put on my socks without a struggle. Even being able to wrap a towel around me after my shower. One really big experience for me was going to Dillards the other day and instead of going straight for women's plus department I decided to give Xl a try and went to so many other departments found out I can wear XL but Large also fit. Now I dont know what to wear because I have so many old clothes that fit again. Even looking in the mirror is fun. I really enjoy going out and not getting tired. I use to have to rest because my knee and back hurt so much. I still need 36 lbs to go. My new adventure is I joined a gym and will start tomorrow with my daughter.

  7. I had same problem also slept in recliner for about a month. I even felt short of breath with cpap on and would take it off during the night. I remembered getting flonase that first night after surgery and started using it again. I also tighten my straps and this has helped. I sleep in my bed now using 2 pillows and this is not a problem anymore. Surgery date 8-10-15. Weight at highest in 2015: 211; SW 194; and CW 161. My other problem is the pressure the straps place on my face and in the morning I have strap marks on my face. Do they sell covers for the straps?

  8. I eat out pretty easy now. I order grilled chicken or fish with avocado in Mexican restaurants. Also fish tacos (i don't eat tortillas )good if grilled. I always ask for take out plate and make 2 or 3 meals off the one meal. I like it because i dont have to worry about a few meals - I just prep them in small pyrex bowels and grab one on my way to work or when i get home from work. What's amazing is the grilled chicken plate was 10 dollars and i got 4 meals out of it. I only pick restuarants that have grilled chicken or fish on the menu which is almost everywhere. Being able to go out and be normal is key - I just don't overeat now.

  9. Today I had my one month follow up. I can eat solids and I did eat at lunch 1/4 cup of chicken salad. It did take me 2 hours but it sure felt good to eat real food again. I wasn't really hungry but thats what my diet says to eat. No pain just a few gurgling sounds coming from my sleevester. I still have applesauce think i will save for later. I made the chicken salad the consistency of a spread with greek yogurt and 1 boiled egg. I made enough to last a few days. Next time will only make one chicken breast so I don't get tired of eating same thing. I need to prepare better.

  10. Just 30 days ago we made what is probably the biggest change to our lifes. That first week was rough for me and I kept dreaming of today and how I would feel. I would see the older ladies at the grocery store moving faster than me and wonder will I ever move like me again. Well this week I walk faster, get things done faster and even drive faster lol. What a wonderful change to feel so much better each day and enjoying the weight loss. so worth the effort and change in lifestyle. I know the future will only get better. :)

  11. I planned poorly still on puree and forgot to stop fluids in time to eat before this 1130 to 1pm meeting. They ordered Chinese and all so they can play games and talk before the meeting. Would be nice to be on real food now so no one would ask about my puree and small quantities. Today I will have to tough it out. Don't let this happen to you. It's a bummer. Messes up my liquid intake schedule still only get about 30 oz per day.

  12. I get itchy with heat or in the sun. It has improved. I am almost 1 month post op. Mostly on arms and upper legs. If i thought about it the itching would increase. Now I try not to think about it and usually ok i walk from car to work or shops and rarely experience this anymore but this was bad at 1 to 2 weeks.

  13. I had trouble and now i get 35 to 45 oz a day. Now I take a bottle of Water or Protein Shake with me everywhere. I am 2 days short of 1 month post op. My big saver is popsicles. I buy a tropical popsicle SF and I will let them thaw a little then crush down to a slushy and i mixed 2 or 3 flavors and eat with a spoon i finish those so easily. I get about 10oz or 13oz of fluids from this source and my 24oz from shake. Wish i could get more in but did my lab last week will find out results friday. Hoping for the best.
