I love it!

Steve's right, we have to not only take small bites, we have to eat super slow. You can try putting your utensils down and waiting a minute or 2 between bites, or you can download the app Eat Slower. Between keeping the food moist and slower eating, hopefully it will help.
Wow there really is an app for everything... Just downloaded Eat Slower! I'm going to start using it with every meal.

Awesome news! How much would you say you were able to eat?
I'd say I was able to eat about 3-4 ounces.

the thing is, how fast are you eating it, if you're not taking that 1/2 to eat it, you are eating too fast and thats why you vomit.
Maybe this is part of the problem too. I will slow things way down and see what the effect is. Maybe try luxuriating over some lovely canned chicken! Yum! Seriously, though, good suggestion.

I think trying some canned chicken is in order, although I always thought canned meat sounded gross. Maybe it's just the moisture element hanging me up?
I tried a breaded chicken tender awhile ago - threw it up. Seems like anything breaded is off limits for me though.
Honestly, and this is bizarre for me to say, I'm losing interest in meat. And I've always been your stereotypical red meat guy.
Still, I'd rather be thin and healthy than going hog wild at the BBQ...

I had eggs a few weeks after and got sick. I haven't tried them since, but should. I also haven't talked to my surgeon. That's a good idea...
I have mostly been relying on Protein shakes for my Protein. Three 30 gram shakes a day. But I'd really like to get to getting my protein from food. I wondered if I need to just force it until my body adapts to it?

Nice! It's crazy how fast the results come, right? You'll settle into it. Maybe you're having some of that "head hunger" we all have to deal with?

I'm having a hell of a time eating meat.
I have only had a couple of issues with vomiting after my sleeve. We had a ham for Easter and I tried a little and threw it up. Same thing happened when I tried to eat chicken. When I tried hamburger I got sick and had to lay down. Same thing when I tried a slow cooked chuck roast.
I'm about 2.5 months post-op. Has anyone else had this sort of issue? What works and what doesn't? I've always been a big meat eater - love to grill, etc. - wondering if those days are over.

You got it Mike! I'd really like to be there by mid summer. I'm currently losing around 15 lbs a month... not sure how long that will continue though.

Well, I just found this site and this section of the site, in particular, and registered today. I was sleeved a couple of days before Super Bowl Sunday and am coming up on 70 lbs. lost. Pretty sweet! Just thought I'd say hi and I'm excited to have found this group.
Man boobs?

Has anyone heard anything about Gynecomastia (male breast reduction surgery)? I wonder if it would help with the moobs. Of course, if they're still a problem after hitting goal and building up the pecs... I lifted a lot over the years, but was always heavy and had some healthy man boobs over the muscle I built on my chest. I worry I'll end up thin but without a defined chest.
