  1. Thanks @@stephh!! Let's just use this week's weight as the start and for the weeks that I missed. My starting weight is 227. And my goal is 212.
  2. Hi @@stephh, am I extremely too late to join this challenge?? I was out of the country when it started and would love to join if possible. If not, that's OK. Thank you.
  3. You made me cry, THANK YOU! Lol. Happy tears always feel good. Thanks again. I appreciate it.
  4. 4 mos and 3 days post sleeve and I've lost 72lbs. I'm excited and can really tell a difference. I bought some new jeans (again), a fitted T-shirt, and a dress today. I remembered the love I had for the person looking back at me in the mirror. I've missed this me, for so long. And I'm so happy to have her back!! January 2015, 2 month before surgery August 2015, 4 months post
  5. Great thread. I've repeatedly considered Paleo, and basically eat this way but never labeled it because of my dairy consumption. I use milk in a protein drink at the end of a day of poor food planning and not having had enough protein. I also enjoy cheese as a snack as well when I make my own P3 snacks. I'm glad to see that others are on this track as well. Yaaaaaaay!
  6. I can't wait to have lost a "newborn calf!" Getting there ????
  7. @@Highdee215 I had FMLA for 2 weeks, the week of surgery and the week following. I only took pain meds twice, the night I came home and the afternoon after that. My recovery was pretty quick. I walked often while in the hospital and even more once I was discharged. I think recovery time is different for each individual. I was cleared to drive after 2 weeks. My process was rather quick.
  8. @@Gaelsmom you made me lol...that's just a good angle on the arms :-) Although I've got some good tone, believe me, I've got some wing action going. But thanks for the kind words!Your arms look wonderful! If you want to see some wings, come my way! Uggghhh! That is officially my mission when I'm back home tomorrow, to get rid or these hanging, saggy arms of mine!
  9. You have to tighten your seat belt on the plane!
  10. That would be awesome! Yaaaaay! I'm in Lima, Peru at the moment but will be back in Boston on the 1st. I will try to send you a private message from my phone. If I can't I'll just wait until I'm back. Thanks a bunch!
  11. Good deal! Thanks for the information. I still hadn't found a group and was truly considering starting one. Since my initial post, I have found a different job abd work in Jamaica Plain and am off much earlier. So I will look for those in the West Roxbury areaThank you! [emoji2]
  12. Thanks ladies for responding. I may be ok. But still unsure if my hair is shedding or falling. I'll find out when I wash my hair again. I'm currently on a volunteer mission in Lima, Peru and can't wait to get home to wash my poor, poor hair. I arrived here with braids but took them out after a week in a half. Sadly, Lima does not have hair products for us and I only carried a travel sheen and small plastic vial of coconut oil from the states. I had planned on rocking the braids for a bit longer, but nope. My head wasn't having it. I've had to rely on a makeshift "leave - in" and stretching my coconut oil THIN! I can't wait to get back to the states on Saturday!!! Uh, my poor hair! Lol
  13. Try going back to your pre-op diet. I, like many others was on clear liquid diet and lost weight before surgery. Then full liquids, etc.
  14. My aunt said the same mess on the 4th. To add insult to injury, she also added, "Now you can find a husband." WTF?!
  15. Though I'm still on my weightloss journey, I am no longer worried that I'm "too big" or "too heavy" for anything I want to do! This is a huge deal for me. At times I've felt limited or denied to do certain things because of my weight. I have let crowded elevators go and waited for the next one. I've stood up on trains because I didn't want others passengers to feel squished in their seats. But nope! No more! I don't feel that way anymore! I'm slowly but surely coming back to feeling "normal" and have dropped my fear of being "the biggest" person in the room! In my mind, in about 30 more pounds, I will feel invincible! Lol
  16. So... I weighed myself this morning. I've been trying to break my habit of weighing myself everyday. I've gotten down to only 3 times this week, so it's progress. But anyway, drumroll please! I weighed in at 239!!! Yaaaaaaay! I've made goal but also a weight I haven't seen in forever! I'm so excited! WHEN I lose 14 more pounds I'll be at my freshman weight. I am so happy and excited about this journey. It is as if I have started a new chapter in my life or have hit "reset" on my current one! Yaaaaaaay!
  17. You are the BEST, my friend!
  18. 242. My weightloss is slowing down but I WILL make it to goal by the 4th!
  19. CONGRATULATIONS!! You're a rockstar!
  20. I literally have one of the above, unless we're counting the furry onion in the bottom of the fridge! Then that would make 2. Lol. I have the carrots for sure. I'll work on getting the others. Take your time! I semi-satisfied my craving by making a turkey and red bean chili the other day. I still have a few servings left.
  21. I'm from Boston, lived away (RI, GA, CT, SC, CO) for awhile and just moved back to BOSTON!
  22. Awesome!! And thank you [emoji4]
  23. Hey @@Smye the cauliflower crust went well the first time, but the second time not as well. The difference between the first and second time was that I tried to get fancy and add toppings to the crust. I should have baked the cauliflower longer, before adding the toppings. So I've learned. Next question, do you have a meatball recipe? I love ground turkey and am craving meatballs. I saw a few recipes on Pintrest but was wondering if you had a take on it. Thanks
  24. Refried beans are amazing! Unsweetened apple sauce, fat free/sugar free pudding, tuna in water in the can or pouch, salmon in a can/pouch, chicken salad, Greek yogurt, Baby Bel cheese reg or light, Laughing cow cheese, baby food, wet scrambled egg whites are things that I lived on in week 3 through 5.
