My pre op diet consists of Protein over 20g per serving, and less than 8g of net carbs. Some solid protein is allowed 2 weeks before surgery. What about yours?

You will just have to crush them then. That's what I will have to do too.

I know that after surgery I have to crush or take all of my pills in liquid form. Not Sure if you mean after or before. But as far as what to take I don't know yet either. I'm assuming I will get a list of stuff before surgery that I will need as far as Vitamins.< /p>

I'm not having the sleeve but I'm having bypass on may 11th!

Merrill, I am in Jacksonville, Florida. You have made a very important decision to take back your
health and live a longer more full feeling life. Don't let others discourage you. I had both
positive and negative attitudes from family and friends. Now all I get is positive feedback. They
can see the difference in my health and disposition. This is not an easy way to go, you are

Hi Merrill congratulations on your decision to have the gastric sleeve done.
I'm so sorry that you do not have much support Merrill but take it from me darling this is not the easy way out!!!!
I got these kind of comments as well and more!! As I'm sure you did.
There's nothing easy about making a complete life style change because it is just that but the end result is absolutely amazing.
I am 11 months post op and I'm feeling amazing.
Please don't let people put off having the procedure Merrill because this is one thing you will never regret.

I finally had the surgery. I'm still in the hospital 2 days later but I feel awesome. I want to go home!!!! I'm tired of these nurses taking blood, checking my blood pressure etc. My room is like a conveyor belt or a revolving door. My appetite is non existent though. I can only get thru a couple sips of everything. I'm super gassy but, I understand that's normal so I'm not concerned about that. Thank you for praying for me, it definitely helped the process go smoothly. Now I can't wait for the weight loss to begin!

I told no one except my husband, kids, parents and sister. This is your life, your body, your decision. At work they only knew I had to take off for medical reasons. One person actually asked me about it and I said hiatal hernia repair.
My parents and sister weren't told until one week prior. I am a very private person and I didn't want questions, comments, opinions, etc for weeks prior. I also didn't want people watching me eat post op thinking....hmmm should she be eating that? I also wasn't positive I would lose and maintain the loss and then be judged. I still have not told anyone. When people ask about my weight loss I say lots of gym time and low carb eating(which is true!)
I am not sure if any of this helped...but I think it is OK not to tell people if you do not want to.

I went to my surgeon on April 1st., 2015. I have a May 11th surgery date. I'm not getting any support from family and friends. Everyone says that I'm taking the easy way out.

I live in Boca Raton. My date will be on may 11th. I'm 5'4 and 215. I'm not getting any support from friends or family.
